We've been over and over it. I know this engine and bay like the back of my hand. My only point here is that a catch can with a blower is a must. I'll bet the ZL1 will have something similar. |

Do you have your own tuning setup? If you do I might have a solution for this: add timing in the low rpms under light load/high vacuum condition. Also, if you are having a surge under light throttle, try adding a touch more fuel and/or timing to it under light throttle/cruise. I don't have ls series tuning yet but I learned then when tuning my pretty stout small block with a large cam that drives as good as my stock 5th gen.

I've driven at least 500 miles since installing my Rx catch can and was ecited to empty it and there wasn't a drop in it!!! WTF. Now I'm confused as hell and wondering what's up??? I know this may sound incredibly stupid but hey...new to catch cans. The wing nut on the bottom for the drain is suppose to be screwed all the way out tight to seal the can while driving right?

The drain is screwed "in tight" as far as clockwise "righty tighty, lefty loosey," but the threads will show all the way out and visable.

Looks good to me. Do you have vacuum at the valve cover end of the hose if you pull it off and check?
Maybe your can is defective? Just curious - Could you post a clear pic of how you mounted it? -Mark. |

Here's my install, I tried to keep the hoses running parallel or perpendicular to the engine like GM did.
