^^THIS. They hook and go.
I have been looking at the 2013 EVO MR for some time now and wouldn't mind owning on for my daily driver. Kaizen tuning is located in the same state as me, about 45/60 minutes away and they can build some monster AWD cars.
They would get my business.

I love my camaro, but the Evo and STi cars are in a completely different league. I test drove both of the lastest models and love them. They are a ton of fun to drive in the mountains. I really wish I could take one out on track to compare it to my camaro.

I have to say when I track my car, the Evos and STIs can hold their own. Having a turbo stock is AWESOME......but i wouldn't take it over my car. That being said, i have the utmost respect for a Evo or STi driver.....as long as they aren't a little kid.

I'd do it if possible . I just picked up a 13 WRX as daily and man its sweet. I honestly think i'll be driving it 90% of the time feels so much better than the camaro. All I did was some sways and endlinks and what a car, Grip for days. Just snowed here so you know I was out tearing it up

Enjoy your Subbie! I really like the STI's.I am thinking about the 2013 EVO MR. We'll see. It will be my daily driver full time.
Maybe some coil overs, (not sure what brand yet), some nice wheels/tires and use the stock wheels with some winter tires for the winter months. Those would be first up on the list, then onto the modifications!
And, like I said, Kaizen will be doing all the work. They are one of the top shops for these cars and the GT-R's. They have a great rep with the Evo crowd.

For the hell of it when I was shopping for a replacement to my SS I test drove a 2012 EVO GSR, the car was incredible. The salesman wanted to let me run it through some twisties. I will say a SS has 0 chance of staying with an new EVO in twisties, the cars grip is unlike anything I have ever experienced. What the car was lacking was about another 50 hp. All in all a fine car that I wouldn't mind owning at all.

A 2010 evo (low miles and stock) cost more than my low milage 2010 2ss it worth .
Hell you cant really find a 2006 evo for what my SS is worth .

grip doesn't always equal great handling.. if I were a betting man I would bet that the Camaro would win no contest

Not on this planet, the Evo and sti fight above their weight class on circuits. The Cosworth STi can hang with F430s.

I think we are comparing different cars here, most of us are talking 5th gen.

Thanks man. STIs are great cars but its not really daily stuff. I drove one before I bought the wrx and honestly it's much better. Lots of ringland failures in the STIs. I wouldn't spend the loot on the Coilovers, I'm doing the same got winters on the stock rims and gonna buy another set of wheels for the stock summers I demounted. Wrx stage 1 tune us STI power levels. You just don't get the brembos or the transmission. I don't think you'd be disappointed if you got the evo or wrx/sti

I can't decide between the STI the WRX. The only thing thats holding me back from the WRX is the 5 speed trans vs the 6 speed in the STI. Did you get the hatchback or the sedan? Post up some pics if you have some.

I got the sedan, although my buddy has the hatch and it has grown on me. Problem with the hatch is it drones easier if you change out the exhaust I hear. My .02 the sedan looks better. Well something to understand is that the STI may have a 6-speed but the gearing super short, its rally inspired so it doesn't afford you much gearing over the wrx. You honestly don't need the 6th gear. You can do 75mph in 5th at a little under 3k rpm. Redline is 6800. Still getting 26MPG average on my WRX, mostly highway. STI is a FIRM ride vs the wrx I knew on my short test drive of one that there was no way I'd live with it day in and out. I put some Whiteline Sways and Endlinks and what a car, like I said just grip for days even on my snows.
