Or maybe they just can't tune? lol I'll give you x2 as much as you charge for tunes if you can make my car perfect the way it is. (without giving it a doggy ass tune just so it can drive) Oh, I forgot the part where after I go WOT the RPMs jump around upon deceleration and the car shuts down. But of course It's only on a half ass'd tune currently. One question though, if it's just the tuners who suck why did KB come out with a "Bandaid" for the issue even though they defended their blower was fine as it was to the death of them in said before KB blowout thread?

They all will heat soak but it is well known that the KB is the worst of the bunch in regards to IAT temps.

Basically Technology has passed out KB by about 15 years.
New Rotor technology runs oh so much cooler and moves more air per revolution and takes less HP to turn. Look at SLP New Magnacharger New Edelbrock Whipple Vortech Paxton Procharger All have much cooler running designs that are more efficient, easier to install, and service.

You can Not Correct Air Turbulence within the tube around the MAF with Tuning No Way No How!! No amount of hours, experience hands on or not will ever correct that. That is why they came up with the Honeycomb insert to straighten the air just before the maf. I corrected it by Properly sizing and designing a New intake tube, that restores all the driveability, performance and torque reporting. How you doing Ryan, been a While since we chatted. Ted.

I have the newly revised tube with relocated MAF and honeycomb straightener. Anyone want it? Didn't fit in my car. Can't get air filter on it. KB pretty much said I'm SoL in Hawaii. Paint ran inside the tube and its pretty messy looking. Also, my reservoir cap leaks.
I am satisfied with the performance and like the look, not the fit and support. Maintenance is a PITA. Had to do so many tweaking, hard to say it is "bolt-in" friendly. Same ole story... it's always the OE cars fault. Not 3rd party design tolerances that NEVER is wrong and company NEVER needs suggestions from tuners or customers. Don't buy anything without great customer service and proven designs. |

![]() I'll be tracking my car to see how the KB works this summer, but I'll be having way more mods than I have now. I can't shake that mod bug. ![]()

Let's Define Heat Soak, an overused Term.
Heat soak is when the heat exchanger can no longer Lower the temp of the supercharger and becomes overwhelmed and IAT continues to climb. All Superchargers Make heat somewhere in the neighborhood of 11 Degrees Per LB of boost, Some Higher Some Lower. It is the Size of the intercooler and heat exchanger and fans that must remove this heat and bring it back as close to ambient as Possible, Again some are better at this than others. Most all of the Superchargers today will have no problem recovering from a blast down the quarter mile or sitting in traffic. And as soon as you get moving the temps drop. Ted.
