An excellent reason to buy another tool.

Installed my Elite catch can a few weeks ago at ~700 miles on the odometer. Just went over 1000 miles so I decided to check it. Here's what I found:

Was a little surprised to find that much gunk but it makes me glad I installed a catch can. It was fairly simple to do especially with the help of the videos and photos installed here. Thanks Elite for a great product.

Good to know all that isn't gumming up your intake track. Thanks for sharing the picture!

OK - so I am confused.. and need to order something. Do I order from JDP - Elite? Shipping to Canada? If I order the braided hoses, I only saw the fittings for the can side in the pic ( I think it was can side).. Is the other end still a splice ?

You can order from either, I believe I got mine from JDP. Just shoot him a PM or email and he will help get you sorted, the braided hoses are definitely better and will be quieter

I can get you taken care of. Just shoot me your address via PM/email and I'll get you a shipping quote.

The braided line kit will have terminations and fittings on the catch can side and The other end will basically splice and that connection will be hidden by the engine cover.

Feel free to call, PM or email me anytime with questions.

Best regards,

Tyler

I had installed it a month ago and I didn't see the benefit of it until I did the oil change. It was so much oil in that catch can. I didn't get a picture because it was at night. But the next time I drain it I will show that indeed it does work.
But a quick question is it worth getting a clean side catch can for our V6 Camaro's ?

Indeed! The first time you empty your catch can, you really see how much crap would have gone though your engine.

As for the clean side; those who do a lot of WOT (wide open throttle) driving can definitely benefit. Basically, the clean side acts as a fresh air inlet under normal circumstances, but at WOT, the vacuum becomes so great that you'll see reverse flow.

A good way to see if you can benefit is to remove your intake tube and wipe your throttle blade down with a paper towel; if there are traces of oil, then a clean side catch can would be beneficial.

Best regards,

Tyler
