The very first Camaro was a six cylinder.

The V8 is faster than the V6? Wow so insightful, what are you going to say next, the corvette is faster than the SS?

I am sure if I test drove an SS I would not have gone to the RS, but I also wanted something with better fuel mileage. I enjoy every second I am in it.
you know when I went to get mine the salesman called it an RS, was surprised when I corrected him, told him it had a V6 before the hood was open. after that he let me look in peace and quiet. RS is not a model! you have a 2LT. RS is an add on package.

as long as the V8 stays off the sidewalk my V6 can keep up to it in city driving. open road, well not so much.

My 1975 Camaro Type LT had a V8- and half the horsepower of the 2015 V6

My '96 Z28 didn't have as much HP or torque ad the 2015 V6

My 2LT was a pleasure to drive. It had plenty of power and handled well on the road. No it doesn't have the umph of my 2SS and the brakes on the 2SS definitely feel better, they were no slouch on the 2LT either.

The fit and trim of both models were great and there is nothing wrong with the 2LT. It has plenty of get up and go. Perhaps you needed to put it in sport mode, and perhaps turn off the traction control.

I also had a 2012 Accord V6 Coupe and while it was a fun little car, the 2LT was way ahead of it in the looks department and having the power coming down in the rear felt much more like a sports car.

Chevy did a great job on both of these models and don't think you can really go wrong with whatever you go with. Great value IMO at all the trim levels.

So in short, the only message I want to convey is that if anyone is considering the Hennessey Venom GT v.s. V8 Camaro, and cost is not a factor, I think you should definitely try both before making a decision because for me, the difference was huge.

Let the flaming begin as I don my flame retardant suit.....

There...fixed
Nice. This is a bit of a stretch though since the Hennesey isn't a production model direct from GM.......

Man I hate when people say RS for a V6. If you're going to start a useless rant at least get it right!!

RS is NOT a model, it's a damn appearance option.
Yes the RS is the strips on the hood.
