The code said it was running lean. Re-check the cold air intake connections.

Your remote start will not work until you clear the CEL. Headers can cause a CEL depending on the headers you run. If you are running lean then there is most likely air getting sucked into the intake that the sensor is not seeing. Therefore, it is not sending enough fuel to compensate. Recheck your fittings and be sure you tightened the sensor. Sometimes the tube doesn't go on the bottom of the intake all the way and you will suck air there. The SLP did not cause your CEL. The dealer will blame it on your CAI if you take it to them due to the larger amount of air vs the fuel. So check then recheck and if you find nothing put your stock box back on before you go to dealer.

Hey shakenbk make sure all your hoses are snug and secure. I had forgot to put the vacuum tube back on the airaid v2 and I got a CEL, checked it with my dashhawk and wow "I'm an idiot" sounded off in my brain.

I never thought about that, but it makes sense.

P2177 Fuel trim lean at cruise or acceration bank 1
p2179 Fuel trim lean at cruise or acceration bank 2

A few things that can cause these codes:
1: vacuum leak, Listen for a hissing sound while the car is running at idle to isolate

2: make sure your oil fill cap is tight

3: Fuel delivery system. Make sure you didn't fill up with E85 by mistake.

4: Mass air flow sensor fault. Make sure it is sealed and hopefully you didn't drop it when intalling your CAI because it can get damaged easily.

If none of these simple checks don't resolve your CEL. I would put your OEM intake back on and take it to the dealer. Just in case you have a Mass air flow problem, they may to cover under warranty with your CAI.

when I brought my car in with the K&N intake on my LLT, they simply asked me to bring it in before they applied for a GM approved warrantee fix. The overall attitude at my dealer is quite reasonable, even though they won't support warrantee repairs on parts that directly affect the warrantee claims themselves. So if you have a CAI, do remove it (or make sure your dealer is cool with it) before you go in, unless your issue is a broken mirror, diggit?! hehehehe

CEL stands for Check Engine Light, and yes it usually is a bad thing. As for your CAL, i'm not quite sure what your talking about. Maybe others can jump in on that one.

CAL stands for calibration. When you startup or if you have disconnected the battery you will get this while the compass is being recalibrated. It should go away in a few minutes after a battery disconnect and almost immediately when starting.
