cops rarely give a darn unless you have limo tint. it's usually getting an inspection that's a biatch. places in texas won't pass your car for inspection if your tint is illegal. how the heck were you able to get your car inspected?

I do love how the officers defend their own. There was no sarcasm or any emoticon to relay an insincere response on my part. Law enforcement are the backbone of society. We treat them well and society will greatly benefit. I find it sad that too often people don't respect authority and don't accept responsibility when wrong!! I've been pulled over multiple times (I've driven almost a million miles!), and I've been wrong every single time!! I've never once said, "I was going with the flow." or "Why me?" God bless those who put their lives on the line in protecting us not only away, but here at home.

I believe if a LEO is just having a bad day they might take it out on someone by writing a "BS" ticket. Even though the ticket may be a valid one. I remember one day in my 4th gen I was driving down a road, going the speed limit. I pass a LEO on a motorcyle from left to right and he was in the left turning lane. First, he saw me coming and I guess he thought I was speeding cause he whipped around on that bike trying to grab his radar gun and almost dumped the bike sitting at the light. I laughed and kept on going and saw in my mirror he pulled out and turn right to follow me... Second, he got in formation with me and started looking over my car. He started from behind, moved out towards my quarter and up beside me, leaning over trying to peer inside the car. Moved in front looking at the front and then he came back beside me trying to see inside then got behind me. I was laughing just because the guy seemed determined to get me on something. That laughter came to an end when those lights popped on. I rolled my windows all the way down like usual hoping it wasn't about the tint. First words out of his mouth were roll the window up halfway please. I was like you gotta be kidding me, but hey I'm wrong for having the illegal tint. Even though it was only 1% below the limit, a limit is a limit. I look back and remember him almost dumping the bike trying to reach the radar though and I still laugh. That car always did look like it was going faster than it was. We were on a 4 lane by the way which is why he was able to do his "rolling inspection" if you wanna call it that. He probably knew who I was. My reputation and antics behind the wheel didn't exactly go over well with the local police. That and having the only arctic white camaro in town with deafening exhaust made me stand out even more. I realize he was doing his job, but I still think he was just in a bad mood and wanted to nail someone that day, and what easier target than a hot rodded camaro?

I got a ticket for tint while driving my bf's Charger that has 20% tint. $200 bucks later the windows r still that dark. My camaro has the same % on them. My bf was a cop in Tampa and he thinks its excessive and wld nvr pull anyone over for tint alone.
