I'm over 700 with vvt and my rev limit is 7600 rpms. I think I've about proved that vvt durability isn't a concern. Lol.

I agree with whoever said I'm not the only vvt capable person. Just as the other shops have good ls3 cams, so do I. And ls7, ls9 etc. lol.

Ill put my conventional camshafts against anyone else's on the track or dyno. But at the end of the day, the vvt cams are faster. Otherwise I wouldn't keep it.

Where I live we are lucky to have LMR they've been doing VVT builds left and right but they don't mention it here no record breaking cars tho other the C7 which is VVT. As far as Ted, well lets not get into details.
Funny thing is most sponsors here will say there's a limit to where VVT needs to go and that is false you can make 600, 700, 800, 900, over 1,000rwhp using VVT but no one wants to try.
Ive never had anything against VVT, and I didnt say lethal was the best.

"Record breaking", is a fairly funny notion when you are probably getting all your stats from Camaro5 and maybe one other forum. Sure theres a ton of 5th gen owners on there.

But, not to put down my own people, we (and lethal) are in the south, so are a ton of their customers. I still know a ton of dudes down here without computers and they dont know what facebook is, let alone how to sign up for a car forum and post their slips.

Not saying Rhino doesnt hold all the Camaro records in the known universe, and not saying that Lethal holds all the dyno records.

No telling how many customers both shops have running great times and not posting them on this forum.

With all the posts on this thread, c5fest in Baytown should answer a number of questions.

I'm doing a road track build using Cordes in Mesa, it will have a VVT cam specd by Ed Curtis; billet steel Lunati core. From where I sit, it appears that those who own L99s have a number of choices in deciding what VVT cam to run on the street, strip or track. The days of having to do LS3 conversions in order to make more power are over.

Compare dyno data at low street rpms and HP numbers after peak and see how the VVT cams stack up to the LS3 grinds.

I get my facts from camaro5, lsxnation, ls1tech, moderncamaro, ltxlsx, like 10 different forums this is the only one were I see Lethal. So are you saying you guys have broken records?

No clue lol, Ive only raced at C5 fest, and the local track (NOLA motorsports), doesnt have a drag strip, its not like I hang out with them and their other customers. "You guys", I dont work for lethal or anything, I just buy parts from them and let shawn tune my car, technically they are my shop, but ive done 100% of the work on my own car.

Lethal is on Ls1tech. Which is the only other forum im on.

But like I said, you would have to ask them how fast their cars go. Not everything is posted on the car forums you look at. My uncle, dad, and grandpa all have 9-10 sec cars and dont post stuff online. Then again, 2 out of three are fords haha.

Im not trying to argue, you win, VVT is best, my car is slow.

Is anyone running VVT on the fastest cars keeping the AFM/DOD lifters or they're all taking them out and going to other lifters. And if so which ones????

VVT is good, AFM is bad. The AFM lifters fail, even on a stock car. Just replace them with OEM LS3 lifters.
