V6 Splitter INSTALLED!

Hi Guys and Gals,

As some of you have read on my other thread, I bought a V6 Splitter from Stillen. You can buy the full body kit, but I really only wanted the splitter. The chin spoiler from GFX was too big for me, and I very much liked the splitter look better =D

NO PICS HERE, all pics and full story in my blog. I write on the blog more regularly, so I don't want to re-write and re-link all the photos here as well LOL.

http://adf.ly/1L3M4

Key things I can mention on here incase people don't read my blog post and just click on pictures. The splitter is Solid on the bumper now, I tried kicking it, and bruised my ankle lol. The install took me and my friend about 3 hours... But thats because we removed the wheels to get more clearance in the wheel wells to get to remove the bumper.

I would highly recommend 2+ people working on this project, but only 1 is really required. 2 people would be best when mounting the splitter onto the bumper, easier to set up.

Let me know what you guys think!
Peace!

Street scene and stillen are the same parts. I think the company that makes them is street scene but stillen sells them and uses their own name.

Not sure about that... Stillen splitter has their Stillen logo on it. Unless they really branded the street scene one O_o.

You need to take off the bumper because if you don't you can screw up pretty easily. Infact, this morning when I went out, the tape fell off O_o I'm going to re-do this splitter this weekend, gonna silicone that bad boy on there.

IDK what they do but it is the same. Go look up street scene splitter and it will be the exact same one as the Stillen. Same with the new mustang body kits. I originally saw some pics of a street scene kit on a mustang and I went on stillens website and they have the same exact car and call the parts Stillen body kit.

Yeah guys, my mistake actually. I installed the splitter too forwards. ALSO, Cmon... double sided tape? Really? I hate products that tell you to use double sided tape. Because my stock chevy emblem came off as well before. The sun heat soaking the tape, making it melt. So yeah, the splitter came off the ends... it was holding only by the screws. I'm re-installing it today, and like I said, silicone should hold no problem. I've siliconed some stuff on my car. It's heat resistant up to 400 degrees, AND if you want to remove it, it scrapes right off, no need to clean off the sticky residue.

But yes, this is super bad from Stillen, I e-mailed them long before the install saying, "are you sure it's secure with just tape and 4 screws?" They said "yes".

Clearly not... lol. Anyway I'll update you guys with my progress later on this week =). I have to get it to work, because it just looks too good.. one of my friends said with the splitter on, it looks mean like an SS. I agreed. lol
