heads and Cam or Blower???
Hey guys Im new to this site and wanted to see what your thoughts are on the upgrade Im trying to decide to make. I live in Houston and would also like to get some quotes for my decision. Feel free to PM me.
Currently I have these mods. 2010 Camaro Automatic with CAI, BFE Headers w/xpipe and 3.73 gear. I wanted to see what you think is the best bang for the buck. Either install a blower or heads, cam and converter. |

Also, If its heads and cam do you think I should install new lifters or are the factory lifters any good for a larger cam

start with heads and cam and if that isn't enough for you then add a supercharger. lifters are gonna depend on a few things, if you decide to convert to an ls3 then you will need new lifters, but i think if you get a vvt specific cam then you can reuse the factory lifters

I'm headed down the same route as you and I'm also in Houston. I will do Cam whether I do blower or not... since cam is for sure I started w/ a Torque Convertor (best bang for your buck in the L99). Circle D is also local here and can fix you up.
I"m now looking for the right cam that I can also use w/ a blower at a later date. IMO the lifters need to go (weak link) so I'll be pulling heads w/ the cam job. |
