Traction Control/Stablitrak

Is there a way to permanently leave them off until necessary? That way I don't have to manually turn it off every time I start the car.

Probably not without tuning. Unless you're racing (and even then to some extend) I dont see why you'd want to turn them off permanently.

why would you want traction control off ? that doesn't make sence.unless you are trying to do constant burn-outs.

Actually, I don't know why anyone would want to drive with TC / ST on unless it's raining or snowing outside.

Agreed with not needing it, even before I went FI I found it very intrusive and borderline dangerous. When I'm expecting my back end to come around and push me through a turn and the car decides to freak out: brake decel, engine and force me into the wrong lane because it's determined I want to go straight, that's very dangerous. I know how to drive a RWD car and could do without the nannies most of the time.

not smart with 500+ rwhp unless your at a track. the tickets will pile up and then your ins. will go way up.

Hahaha...... so the traction (nanny control) makes you drive slower. LOL

Exactly, I haven't even had a parking ticket in ten years let alone a speeding ticket, I drive fast I don't speed they are very different things. I've been pulled over once or twice and been warned to go easy on the gas but never given a ticket. I live in the desert, it can go two months here without any real rain. I really don't need a baysitter on all the time while I drive. My infiniti had a chaep dongle that plugged into the ODBII that disabled them without having to hit the buttons every time I start the car. (I didn't think of tuning it that way though, gotta ask my guy next time I bring the car in)

well when a cop sees you drifting its a dead givaway , nanny control will not let you get sideways. oh i forgot you dont have a comp cam and a supercharger , BIG difference from stock. all i have to do is sneeze in 1st 2nd or 3rd and my tires light up.

I think...... and I'm old, that the controls should be the other way around!!!!! They should be there, to turn on, if you want.... like 4x4 in my Suburban

On wet and icy roads stable trac is a nuesense and danger. If you know how to drive you are correcting for any back wheel drift and stable trac can make you over compensate. The only time I have it on is if red and blue is behind me otherwise forget it.

Don't make assumptions, I have everything you've got except the SC (until spring), and even worse I have a SprintBooster installed, so I hit a pebble in the road and the front end lifts off the ground. Hehe.....
Regardless, traction control isn't going to stop the police from seeing you speed off while supercharger is screaming like cat being chased by a doggie. LOL
TC only helps with wheel spin, and ST helps keep the car going in a straight line. These two options are the cause of lot's of people breaking up their cars at super high speeds.
Turn them off, learn to drive without it and use them in rain, snow or gravel when they're actually usefull.
By default TC and ST should be "off".

My thoughts exactly. I learned to drive without all of these add-ons and when they kick in, it scares the heck out of me. It's become part of my "check list", to turn them off every time I start the car.
