The Nerve of some people, was very ticked!!!

So I went to Lowe's Saturday (saturday is wash day for the beast) and I hadn't washed her yet. She wasn't even that dirty, just a light layer of dust on the rear end. I parked her far away from the store so nobody would park near me. I got what I needed, and drove home, I got out of my car and noticed on the rear bumper someone wrote, "WASH ME" across the bumper......I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE DID THIS TO MY CAR!! yes it did screw up the finish, and now I am forced to wax her early!!!!!!!!! really angry

wanted to vent and share this BS with you all

If you're really angry about it, you could always go back to Lowe's and see if they have any security camera's that caught this. That would piss me off though. If I walked out of the store and saw someone rubbing up and down my car smearing the dirt around and scratching the clear coat...it would be on.

I guess I don't understand people. What gives anyone the right to walk up to anyone's car and start touching it. How would they like it if I came up to there house windows and wrote WASH ME or was looking in them. This is the same thing!!!!!! Just don't understand some people....

This is why, in any car i've owned. I never made an effort to park further away from any store than necessary. People tend to be less inclind to touch your stuff in the middle of a parking lot, in full view of the store, and other people.

I agree, that really sucks! Thats why I leave my guard dog with the car...lol. He is 13 and already wants the keys. My son goes co-pilot most of the time and watches the car. Told him I was going to buy him a collar for his neck. Sucks they touched the car, but it was said before, atleast it didn't get keyed!

Ever noticed most of these stories happen to folks who park their cars away from everyone else? No matter which car I am driving I park normally in an even space, never had a problem

Parked far away from the cars at Lowes last night and came back to see people circling around my car looking at it, talked to them a bid but then though, People just don't have any respect for other peoples property anymore!
I feel for ya, if they had touched it I probably would have went ape.
When my car was being deleivery at the Dealer it was sitting out front while I was doing paperwork and two guys just decide to jump in and play with the controls.
Half the showroom ran out asked them to get out and they start giving us lip, saying "thats how you treat your customers"?

It’s sad how far basic rules of courtesy and respect have declined. I think we’ve all seen examples, and not just in regard to the Camaro.

Rather than debate how the recently added parking assist sensors are a bad thing, maybe we should insist on more and added functionality. Hook ‘em up so if a human is within 4 feet of the car it will set off obnoxious sirens, lights flashing, and loudly announce “Attention! There is a stupid person around this car! Darwin Exterminator sequence has been initiated! 10-9-8-7-…” …. Yeah, that outta do it.

Seriously, sorry to hear someone messed with your paint, and glad it didn’t get keyed (or worse). :(

My story is that yesterday I had my Camaro at the Long Island, NY Camaro Club Show....

When the judges were inspecting my car, they asked if I had "this scratch" on my car before...
I DID NOT...my husband had just washed and waxed the car right before we left the house!!!!...
I imagine that people were walking in between cars, and someone got too close to my car with SOMETHING in their hand...a purse, a cell phone,...who knows???...I was NOT HAPPY about that...

Then, there was a guy with about 4 or 5 kids with him, and the kids were all over my car...now I know the kids were excited, but my husband had to POLITELY ask them NOT TO TOUCH THE CAR, PLEASE....

The last story is the best?/worst?....

My husband and I were taking turns "guarding my car", while one of us was taking in the sights of all these amazing, awesome, Camaros of every generation...

I was sitting a "little bit back" from my car with another forum member(so sorry I forgot your name-you were so nice), when I saw my driver door open and someone was SITTING IN MY CAR!!!...

I ran right over, and POLITELY said to the guy, "hey that's MY car"...and his response was, "it wasn't like I was gonna drive it or anything"...

We had kept the car locked all day, but either me or my husband might have forgotten to lock it one time when we were getting a bottle of water out of the car....

My forum friend said that he's been with the Camaro Club for 16 years and this was the 16th Annual Show, and in all his years of attending car shows, NO ONE has ever tried to sit in his car or even open the door...

BTW, all generations of Camaros were judged and my car got a GOLD plaque for the show...so, that was great...I was so excited...AND I got to meet quite a few forum members at the show, and we found each other because we all had our Camaro5 t-shirts on...THANKS, AL............
