LOL!!! I seen the plate Clark. He is speaking of terms all motor im sure. Sorry my 1LE went into a couple of trees last june and was totaled we were making great headway on that car. Glad you are happy with it and enjoy. I still want to see the other graph please.

dude this thread could end up having some great info about cam timing so chill, he was probably thinking all motor anyway.

if you got the car dyno'd at the same place each time, can they layer the graphs to show the gains? i'd be interested to see bolt-ons to cam install if possible.

I seen it.....and all you just did was prove me right by even contemplating wanting/having to spray on a bolt on car with a h/c car.

It could have some really great info. But gotta get past that 7k threshold and utilize the parts or the data is bunk.

Overlays would be great. Another dyno spinning it to 7500 would be even better. So many ls guys stop the dyno short and/or fail to look at power over the curve. Lots of acceleration to be had there even if it don't show up as more power.

I hope you don't think I'm going to take advise from someone who joined last month and has 30 posts...

Maybe you should step over to ls1tech where some real info is and look at my 4k posts.

Ls engines are not new to me. Lazer and i have been playing with them since 1999.

I only posted to explain why torque is lower than usual.
Doesn't matter to me who has the biggest key board. Short runners usually sends RPM up and torque peak down. Long runners usually sends torque peak up and RPM down. There's a difference between helpful posts vs posted asking why you didn't build your car like I wanted.
It's your car, your money and your build.

Being a few degrees advanced or retarded will only move the power curve up or down a few 100 RPM usually. You would have to be a tooth off to have that amount of difference and with that size of cam it would hit.
An overlay of before and after would show so much more. Maybe the next time your at the dyno have the operator print one out. With that amount of HP gain it would reveal a ton.

Hell he has a decent build goin. Tq is a bit low but that's gonna happen with the short runners like Bo said. I've seen a whole pile of cams out there reduce tq to....especially on the ls3.

To offset that you turn it harder to stay in the lower gear longer.....put more gear in it even.

It's not even that op's combo is bad.......more of unfinished dyno day.

Feel free to research the tuner... late model throttle LMT, in Waukesha wi. As stated earlier, they did not rev it any higher because of concerns of piston to valve clearance if the valves float.
