Replacing the isolator is easy. If you dont have mechanical expertise yourself then you can take it to a workshop and show them the threads/videos from youtube on how to tackle the job. It should take anywhere from 2-3 hours to do it. Or you can call your friends and try it out yourself over the weekend

It will be easier to change since it is not installed in the car if it does come with the snout.

Anywho, I think he's trolling. Who has a blown sc on their Z and is still asking questions about an isolator 1 year later? |

My supercharger finally gave up the ghost at just over 36,000
Miles and five seasons of Autocross , track days and hillclimbs. It was replaced and I resumed all activity. No big deal.

finally changed the sc
finally i changed my sc. hope this new one will be queit
checked the shaft to, after 32000 km. it looks really bad and i had a lot of oil in the sc to. My Catch can is installed since the car has 5000 km. buy it myself with the hold assembly, let it ship to switzerland for almost 400 dollar and let it install here. maybe this will explain to some guys, why i was talking so long time about the sc replacement or just the changement of the coupler. i prefere to do it once and right. the hold import of the sc and the work cost me almost 6000 dollar. The Mechanic, which have some lot of experience with us cars and have done the work. it was his first sc replacement on a newer car and he took 8 hours for it. it took long time, to find some good mechanic Thanks to all guys, which try to help me and understood me. jds, I understand and sympathize with your need to be sure. The $400 for shipping is reason enough. You must really love that ZL1!

what i experienced from the old sc when we deinstall the snou to check the shaft and the isolator, was the shaft in the sc, which is conflated with the spring isolator. this shaft had a big bearing play. |

Thanks[/QUOTE Yes, provided it is the original sc and it is not a salvage title. |
