Better Gas

Can you tell a difference? I always use at least 91; I'm wondering the consensus on 93. Noticeable difference or waste of money?

I think I heard there is basically no point to 93 as far as getting more HP or anything. Only use I see is that it provides an 'octane buffer' in case the gas isn't quite up to par. It would keep you out of having to pull the fuses because of a bad tank of gas.

Gas has been discussed too many times, it's not a whole lot of difference money wise and it can't be bad for the car.

Around here 91 vs. 93 octane is about a 10 cent difference, so filling your 16 gallon tank with it once a week will cost a wopping $6.50 a month. Seriuosly, what is the point, it will cost you more money to brush your teeth twice a day vs once a day than to buy 93 octane gas.

If your worried about the extra $75.80 a year I seriously suggest you sell your Camaro before it needs new tires.

I'm not saying I can't afford $6.50 a month; I'm asking if there seems to be a difference. As it is, I try to go to this one gas station in town that has 93 gas. But it's always very crowded and sometimes a pain to go to because of it.

it will run, but there were several members here who had performane issues with 91 octane.
