Same here. I have used NGk TR55's in all my cars and my girlfriends car as well. So far they have proven to be the best plugs I have ever used. As far as wires, I would used the MSD 8.5 or the taylor thundervolt 10.9mm

I'm using NGK TR-6 plugs but due to F/I.

I'm curious as to why you like the Taylor's better. They do have a nice boot, but they have a stainless (monel) core that is rated at 300 ohms per foot of resistance. The MSD's have a 40-50 ohm per foot resistance with a copper alloy core. The copper can also be would tighter for better RF "choke". There is forty feet of conductor wound in one foot of MSD Superconductor wire. About 20 in a foot of monel wire. This is the number one reason that professionals use it. It won't interfere with data acquisition or engine management systems. MSD won't even make sets for computer cars in their monel line (the blue ones).
MSD also changed their jacket early this year to one with a higher silicone content for better heat resistance. It's good enough for a 44amp Top Fuel magneto.
But then again you can't get MSD's in lime green or pink.

I plan on taking the plugs out when installing headers. I am actually more curious about how accurately they are all gaped from the factory. I think the factory spec is 0.040". Anyone take them out and check?

he is right, we lab tested them at different heat ranges and the MSD had much less resistance...

LS3 is not a specfic kit, just the LSx kit that works on all of the GM LS motors (well nearly all) but this 1000% works on the LS3
