He seems to be the goto guy for fly cutting info/tools. So that's .220" near the ring lands, and a little more everywhere else. Are you thinking "a lot" as in... .080" or "a lot" as in .120"? I have seen that it is not recommended to cut any deeper than .1".

Congrats on the new times. That's getting to be pretty damn fast.

What do you think I can fit with .1" intake and exhaust reliefs? If I fly cut with a phaser gear that I can lock at full retard and cut, will that be helpful? What do i need to do to fit your SS4 cam into my motor?

Put some l99 pistons in that beast! The oem valve reliefs are pretty deep for sure. I measured once, but cant remember the depth, I will measure next chance I get on a car. It would take as much as the factory depth is in the event it went 20* retard. Should never happen, but better safe than sorry.

I'll try to find someone that can measure them for me. There are several people doing builds right now that might have an old L99 piston laying around.

Lethal racing was kind enough to measure for me today. The L99 exhaust eyebrow is .050" at its deepest for anyone else that was curious.

So how about that SS4 cam rhino? You think I can get it in there with .080" on the exhaust and .040" on the intake?

Then .1" on both. I guess if it doesn't fit it doesn't fit. But I'm sure we can come up with something good.
