New clutch recomendations

Hey Guys,
I'm starting to get some clutch slip on my 14 SS. It's drivable for now. Only slips on a hard launch. What do people recommend for a replacement? Car is all stock and will most likely stay that way.

My first thought is to just get an OEM replacement but am curious if there are better options out there.

Thanks.

If you really plan on staying 100% stock meaning no LT CAI yada yada. I would say either a LS7 Clutch if you want OEM feel (soft) pedal. Spec stage one should be around the same price will help launches; however, it has a very hard pedal (Semi-truck clutch pedal equivalent) and it is rated around 450-500ish hp risk explosion if you mod past its rated hp.

This is just price wise of course their are better clutches out there. Just be aware of what flywheel hp (not rear wheel) should be enough for you and all will be well.

OEM if you're staying stock. If you want a little performance upgrade you could pair it with a lighter flywheel from RAM or Fidanza

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't want the peddle too hard as my wife sometimes drives the car and she's about 100 lbs soaking wet. I'll look into a LS7 one. I like using upgraded OEM parts where possible.

The car will stay stock for the near future. The only thing I might do is a Z28 CAI. Just cause it looks cool.

Thanks again!

the stock clutch is great and cheap too. No reason to upgrade imo at your level. I've got a supercharger and 60k miles on my original clutch with no issues

Rockauto has a very good deal for the pressure plate, clutch disc, and throw out bearing/slave cylinder. Part number L04263

I've got the same part on my car with around 12k miles on it and it's been great. No issues

How many miles on your car currently with the stock clutch and do you ever go to the drag track or do any other kind if racing?
