I think the ASA cam is the same one in the LS376/525 package if I remember correctly.

Have you thought about putting a converter in it? Something a little looser in the 3600-3800 range would do wonders for driveability at stop lights. You'll also get it in the power band a lot quicker off launch.

InFiD3ViL - I'm like you on the lower lift options. I went with the TSP "Bald Eagle" cam. Its a stage 2 cam basically but with .600 lift. I know they make some AFM/VVT cam grinds with only .500 lift to remain AFM friendly, but off the shelf it looks like the lowest left VVT cams are still .600. And once you get that high, they always recommend the .660 dual valve springs. Have you found any VVT cams out there for the L99 with less than .600 lift yet? Someone has to make one right? Either way though, if you found something in the .585 range, I'd still probably go with the .660 dual springs as insurance.
Yes. I am looking into having a converter installed. I just want to make sure that I am choosing the right one. I believe a 3800 would work great with the setup that I have but then I have to keep in mind that I will be installing a whipple within a year, so I wonder how good they will work together?

Nice... a whipple coming soon... I love it.

I don't have any experience with running a high stall on a boosted car. A lot of guys that run turbos run the Circle D 3800 but a turbo car is a different animal than a positive displacement top mounted SC. With the whipple, you'll get boost immediately and not be dealing with lag like the centris or turbo cars. The turbo guys use a higher stall to keep the car from pushing through the converter to spool up and get into boost off the line.

For you, I'd imagine the biggest problem you'll face once you put the whipple on is traction. Without a good set of shoes in the rear like some 17" wheels and MT radials, you'll send street tires up in smoke everytime.

I'd talk to Circle D and your tuner about what your plans are and they can probably recommend a proven solution for your future setup... maybe something in the 3000 stall range would work better... I am certainly not an expert on this though.

Thanks for the info. I do have 17 inch welds in the works. I can't wait to get them.

Here's another clip. This time idle with small revs. Chopping starts around the one mine mark. Hope that you all enjoy.

You won't need much stall running a Whipple. You would be better off not going to big it will keep it nice and streetable. My opinion.

Thank you. I spoke with Houston House of Power and they basically said the same thing. It's definitely going to be a fun ride.
