My wife did let me drive her Camaro to the dealer for the drive by, but, it didn't help as much as I had hoped! I want MINE!

dude im in the same boat as you! i dun what the dea is! been waiting since early thursday! its only 1 hour away and its been 3 days now!! WTF!! so frustrating. and if they miss today then sunday they dont deliver and maybe on monday!! this seriously is the worst nightmare. i hate these situations.

Nessa - for both my wife and I, ETA at industry was were the railcar was placed waiting to unload. I think though it may be different for different rail yards. Both of ours went to "constructive placement" first, then to "industry", then ultimately "empty."

okie- it must be different in texas- cause mine has been empty the whole time- and the status has changed--- placed in customer location- removed from customer location and now to released for movement- with the eta as 10-19-09.
I just hate the way GM has done all of this! and espically for all of us still waiting! LOL

Here's the way I look at it. My car has been in OKC for 97 hours as of this post. That is 5,820 minutes. Per the "ultimate factory" show, a Camaro rolls off the line at a rate of about 1 per minute. (probably at peak capacity)

In the time that my Camaro has been in OKC, it would feasible that GM could have built over 5,000 Camaros! Maybe the rail companies could get some instruction from GM on efficiency.

You know, it just occurred to me, if you went empty, then you're getting information on the railcar as it heads on it's next leg. It's probably going to industry on Monday to get attached and head back to Canada.

If you heard empty, I'd quit calling. It's on a different path now!!!!!!

no not yet.. but to add to something you already know... went up to the dealer today their is a possibility that we might get our cars today, but they have to get to the dealer before 3 becuz that when the detail crew leaves for the day.. if they get there anytime after.. we wont be able to get them until monday..:(

If mine came after 3, I'd just tell them to fill-er-up and I'll driver her home and do the plastic myself.!!!!

if that was the only thing standing in my way- i'd be like i don't care -give me my car! LOL but that's just me!

n-shane: Every time I walk out in to my garage, there sits my wife's silver SS. Every morning she starts it up and I have to watch her drive off. I hop in my Toyota Crapry, I mean Camry, and sulk all the way to work.

Then I get home, and there it is, a shiny SS sitting in the garage. The whole time knowing my car is only 20 minutes away.

If it weren't for the permagrin we'll get when we get our cars, it would take years of therapy to repair the damage done due to the waiting game!
