This would be a good time to look around for a GOOD performance shop to do a LS3 build..

A stroked out short block can be had all forged for 5 grand, add even a ASA cam and then not have to worry about the springs and your way up on power from stock as in stock trim as a crate a ASA cam is 525 HP and uses low lift springs so no worries there, and add a nice high volume pump so you know your oiled well and you should have oil pressure never even close to as low as 30.... and power more in the 550 hp range flywheel a dream come true for some.
Of course there are ASA crate engines dropped in all the time, My tuner Tommy Wong does them for guys who want them and often they are a retro fit. Good Luck sorry to hear about your problem, Just because one source says a engine is toast...it has to be torn down to see what is still good...………..

If you're in possession of more than combi wrenches, a decent socket set and some basic lifting tackle I'd seriously consider pulling the motor out yourself and tearing it down; you've got nothing to lose - could be a bearing spun or something that a crank grind and a set of bearings could remedy. They're simple enough motors underneath all the electric and computer widgetry. Good luck with it, however you decide to go.

Nope, nothing. The service guy just said that the motor was done and that it would be too costly trying to repair. He said he had done one not long ago that was doing the exact same thing and not even a month after the rebuild the motor locked up on that Camaro and it was done.
