2nd gear grind is a common problem on the 10-12. The 13-15 received upgraded synchros.

The 13-15 tr6060 has carbon fiber synchros. The 10-12 does not. There are no second gear grind issues on the 13-15.

Different fluid won’t help fix the shitty synchros GM usedin the 10-12

Redline fluid fixed my grinding issues with my 2010. Very rarely ever had a 1-2 miss shift afterwards.

You likely don’t have a worn out synchro yet. If you have a bad synchro where you’re consistently grinding going into that gear, different fluid isn’t going to magically fix a bad synchro. The issue with the 10-12 is that they have very cheap synchros. Give it some more time, it will fail on you even with the fluid you’re using.

Has anyone gone through the trouble of getting their synchros replaced? Obviously trans needs to come out and opened up.. Is it a big job for a trans shop? is it easier to try and source a 12+ trans instead?
