Little update since I had the car ceramic coated at the end of July: Haven't touched it with any cleaning products as of yet. A few weeks ago I sprayed it off with a 40* pressure washer nozzle and blew water off with a leaf blower. Did the same again over the weekend when I got caught in the rain. 40 min total, start to finish, dragging out the hose/pressure washer/extension cord... then drying the door, trunk, and hood jambs. Put everything away. DONE. No water spots or dirty residue. Fresh again.

I also washed mine this weekend. Used a micro-fiber wash mit, dried by hand with a water blade then micro-fiber towel, went over it with some Lucas Speed Wax, rinsed everything out and put the buckets away, rolled up the hose, changed my shirt, changed my water-logged sneakers = 2 hours. ![]() But I did enjoy a cigar afterward while staring at it.

The ease of cleaning and the way it repels dirt makes a Ceramic Coating a must for me. I used a Carnauba detail spray on my daily driver recently and it was a dirt/dust magnet. I'm using a Kranzle pressure washer and blow dry, a touchless car wash most of the time. I'll take a microfiber mitt/soap to the car once every 3-4 touchless washes. I use a BigBoi blower from Esoteric Car Care to air dry. I used to use a Milwaukee M18 leaf blower which was fine, but the heated air from BigBoi blower is really nice.

I'm all about time savings and not introducing new scratches to the car. When the car will be washed it will be via a pressure washer to spray it down and a rinseless wash and microfiber towels for the 'wash' portion. It lubricates and encapsulates the dirt debris into the towel. Wipe and fold method. Each pass fresh side. No contaminates introduced back to car. No drying required. Drying vehicles is when most scratches happen, no lubricant to protect finish.

Nice car! Good luck with it. I have a similar car posted for sale with new GM engine. I do not recommend the Mich for the track but great street tires.

Best wishes with your sale. Sad to see you go, proper driver you are. Wish you'd keep it and continuing using it as intended by design.

Great weather this weekend to enjoy the car
Hit up the open house on Saturday at my detailer's shop, along with the tuner and brewer next door. ![]() Pizza Power Tour is an annual local rally event to benefit the Toys for Tots charity. ~200 cars were able to attend on Sunday and go from location to location with different pizza at each stop. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks like a great weekend and we don't have many left here in the NE. Tuner/Brewer & Detail Shop all next to one another -- that is the TRIFECTA! Add a cigar shop and it could be called heaven!
