Speed,
If these rims work, they are $250.00 each... only dimension that is unknown is if they will have clearance to the brembo caliper face. They should be right in the ballpark..If they hit, I will have a machinist friend of mine modify them on a CNC if I need clearance. should be less than 1/8" to be removed if any. We'll use the CNC to keep the cut even on all the surfaces that would need to be modified, if they need it.

They are made for BMW's with Brembo's, the offset on the rim is 38 MM (Stock is 40) so they will be REAL CLOSE..

Windy, That sounds like one nice ride you got in yesterday, wish I could of seen the grin on your face when all the action was taking place.

570 & mws, I'm still thinking about the brakes haven't made up my mind yet
and I'm really jonesing for a gfx kit. I don't want to say this but I loved the hydrocarbon gfx on the hennessy car at the Barrett Jackson auction.
I'm anxious to see how LPE's gfx kit comes out and I guess we will find out here in a few weeks at SEMA. Speed do you feel like taking some pics of the LPE SEMA cars?

The original front set that I was in for are about 4-6 weeks out from being completed.
12 more? Then they still will want 4 to 6 weeks? Seems a bit arrogant to me. We will see after SEMA as I imagine they would get orders then. If they can't commit after that I am going to look at other options.

I will definately be taking some pics at SEMA and should be able to post them mid-show like 570 suggested. I can't wait to see what's going to be available either. I will definately keep everyone updated.

How's your weekends been treating you? Well I hope! We finely had some decent weather here today and I got a lil street time in amongst all the chores.
Had to take the ball & chain to pick up her C6. We had it at her parents as they were babysitting it for a few weeks while I got the lift in the garage.
Played a little on the way home, a little comparing!
Lingy SS (AKA Firecracker) walked the C6 Roadster (AKA Scarlet) like no bodies business.
Somebodies a lil miffed!
I drove the car most of the time in "competition" mode.
In this "mode", from a dead stop (light), the car burned the tires until it was moving about 40 mph. I think the computer was working some control then as the car seemed to hesitate, grab, then continue to pull.
The misses was a lil pissed at that as she got a car full of exhaust, rubber, and supercharger whine!
We also nailed it from about a 65 MPH cruise, I said by-bye! Hit 135 in seconds and let off. She was still pullin like pissed off mule!
Later in the day I took Mrs. Windy to Hooters for lunch and ended up next to a Red C5. By-Bye! He was a lil perturbed!
I also got the car up on the lift today, checked out the dirty side. The trailing arms needed grease. I have some concern with these trailing arms and wheel clearance. There is plenty with the stock wheels but it seems like the trailing arms will be the limiting factor on going to smaller wheels. Also the Corsa exhaust is knocking against the center tunnel support. Need to change something there.
I know most of you guys have sticks, but I was amazed to find there is no dipstick for the auto tranny! Progress I guess.
I am continuing my education on chassis engineering. I've decided to buy a car scale so I can see what the heft is and whats going on at all 4 wheels. This way I can document changes I make and results.
So far the only thing I know for sure is Lingenfelter has done a marvelous job doing what they are good at. Transforming stock GM motors in to horsepower generating brick-houses!
PS: You guys (and gals) still waiting for your babies to come home, it's friggen worth the wait!
Windy
I had a Magnaflow Competition Series cat back exhaust that knocked on the tunnel support like that. I replaced the exhaust with an MBRP and it came with a heavy duty tunnel support that has a dip in it so the exhaust will never touch it. If you get a chance look at the website picture http://mbrp.com/camaropop.php?pic=4 . When I saw them do a dyno at LPE they had it in sport mode. Try running it in the manual and you will see an S if you don't use the tap shift. My car runs unreal in S mode with traction control off you may already have know this but its like a different car when I do this with mine.

Thanks Paul, good reply, good info!
I had drawn up a new tunnel support today. I haven't got around to fabricating it yet but I will this week. I like the photo with the bow tie cut out! I was going to powder coat mine but the bow tie is cool. Of course the only one who will see it is the road kill raccoons!
I do still need to play with my car in the different modes and/or with all the computer BS shut off. I also still have to get it "broke in" as it only has 600 miles on it? I Still have yet to put gas in it!
It will have to wait until this weekend again! I have a match to shoot Sunday in Michigan, maybe I'll take it there and get closer to the break in milestone!
Thanks again for your help!

Hey Speed, are you going to be in Vegas for the duration of the SEMA show? When you look at the layout of the show on the SEMA website it looks as if it would take a whole day to see all the exhibits.
