For the weight that's moving, pretty sure this is a record for the 5th gen SBE LS3.
The SBE LS3 was rebroken by Billy Telesco with a 7.78 @175mph a week after this pass.

I have to be honest. A 7.78 in the 1/4 on a stock bottom end ls3 is very hard to believe without seeing more details on the setup. If true, that is fast and I congratulate him.

No doubt! I find that very difficult to believe as well.

Same car went and did Drag week also, all over YellowBullet, Boosted LSX and Turbo Bullet and has been confirmed by many and track officials. Race weight at 3200lbs.
Been following that build since he started.

I know our customer and friends 6.0 SBE Coupe only made 1287whp when they went 7s in theirs. Yet lighter tho. 3060lbs.

A lot of power for sure. My 8.38 pass is on a stock 6.0 long block @ 3420lb raceweight. So I know it's possible for sure. Just that ls3 block cant seem to hold the power the 5.3/6.0 blocks do

Impressive, but not a Camaro, so it does'nt count for what this record is for. It is a Camaro specific record on a Camaro forum.

Yes I'm aware, that's what I mentioned on my 1st post. Your car holds the 5th gen SBE boosted record.

In all fairness, the OP is "Boosted LS3 sbe record broken". There was no mention of it needing to be in a Camaro, or a maroon Camaro, or whatever year and options or anything else. No matter what, your car is moving and that's something to be proud of!

I went a 9.6@147 couple weeks ago with a 1.5 60’. Played with the low end timing and got it to do a 1.4 60’ but air filter came loose and got sucked into the blower damaging the impeller that run cutting my day short. Sucks that could of been a low 9 pass. Was hitting limiter on 1st-2nd shift also. Getting blower rebuilt and trying again in spring i guess.

What kind of power did you lay down on the dyno?
