Have you checked the fuses? ABL may have a separate fuse.

Check your fuses first. Should be a fuse box under the hood and one inside the cabin (normally driver side). If not in there, it could be that it is controlled by the ECU and it lacks the programming. You could try to get someone to copy the programming from a 2LT and try to flash it on your 1LT, but that may cause some problems if not done correctly.

Have a look at the owners manual 9-42 thru 9-47. It itemizes the various fuses in all 3 fuse boxes, under the hood, under the dash, and in the trunk. I do not see one specific to the ABL.

there should be something like lighting or some general category then. I would say someone needs to pull fuses on their 2LT or 2SS so we know which one it is.

The ABL shouldn't be controlled by the computer, it's only lighting. What it may be is the wire you plugged into is not plugged in to anything on the other end. Only suggestion is trace that wire (by using a wiring diagram) and see what's at the other end. If anything, find a wire that hooks into the dash lights and connect to that.

Actually the lighting is partly controlled by the computer, because it adjusts to the light around it (when the setting is on auto)(bright sunny day = no head lights, pitch black = full brights). So it could very well not be supplying power to that certain power lead. Also, hooking into random wires is not smart. Too little voltage will not power the ABL and if you have too much you will burn out the lighting or overload the fuse and cause it to blow. Either way, randomly taping lines in your new Camaro isnt the smartest idea. What the guy really needs is a manual on the 2LT and he needs to combine that with the manual on his 1LT so he can see whats different and what is the same. There should some info about the wiring on both models.

I'm guessing that the wires that you plugged into in the door, are not plugged into any thing in the car. You need to trace that wire to the inside of the car. They wouldn't want a live wire to just deadend in the door. You prob just need to plug it in, in the car.

I'm going to hop in here and ask if anyone has any clear photos of the Ambient lighting. I haven't seen to many out there.
