The same math could be done from Florida to Denver.

LA.............. 1675 mi.

Seattle, WA is 2924 miles,
San Francisco is 2700 miles,
LA is 2500 miles from the GA event.
That's aprox $1300 in fuel and hotels, and 6 days of driving just to get to and from the event, who's got that kind
of time and money to drive that distance??

Seems the organizers of this event would have taken this into account
to be in the best interest of ALL members.
I live in Miami, it's only 460 miles to the event. Your off by 1000 miles..lol.

There alot more vendors out west also. the CA members are looking at $750
in rd trip fuel.
I still think you should set up something for Denver, CO and call it Camaro5fest West and you guys can have your Camaro5fest East, which is what it really should be called.
GTA/Junkie have done a fabulous job getting this set up for all of us Camaro fanatics. If you are unhappy with their choice and location for the first Camaro5Fest, feel free to start up your own 5th Gen Camaro get together in Denver or on the West Coast or wherever you want to have it.

There is nothing wrong with voicing your opinion but when you keep saying the same thing over and over again, you just come off as an ass.

Here's the dealio: I live in Sacramento and just got the 'affirmative' from the wife to REPLACE this event with my already booked trip to Cancun in May. That is a sacrifice - on her part of course. Anyway, I do wish another event could be planned for the west coast as we do have some pretty phat courses up here, to include Infineon Raceway (formerly sears Point) and Laguna Seca. However I will concede to the South this time which really is the birthplace of all things Racing. It will be fun to see some of the notorious circuit stops along the way. As long as I can get the full refund from Cancun Palace, this is a done deal. Thinking I can drive the full sidtance in 28 hours in the IBM anyway

Perhaps the 2nd annual can be midwest or west? Is there anybody willing to get a 'part two' scheduled over in these here parts, this year???

I've never been out to Cali but I wouldn't mind driving out to the West coast for the 2nd Annual Camaro5Fest. Being in Texas, I'm pretty much in the middle so it makes no nevermind to me

PS: Hope you get your full refund and you should buy your wife flowers every week til the event if everything goes as planned and you get to come

Well this one may not be for you and this thread is focusing on this years event. There are plenty of people from the West Coast coming. AFTER this event (2010) is complete and we start planning where the 2011 one will be. Now this thread is in support of this event if you have any other issues please feel free to PM me. Otherwise I respectfully ask you to stop taking away from the spirit of this thread.

Thanking You In Advance,

Junkie

You can leave it at the track or the back of the Hotel lot if you like. I would say at the track some of us will be staying there and they have security

Hey man I need you to PM me your number. I need some help with something local in Valdosta
