Cloth seats wear better/last longer than leather though.

Having the heat that goes with the leather seating is awesome for a bad back or chilly night, they should offer that in cloth seating and Id be sold.

I wanted that better stereo and USB port bad.

auto dimming mirrors are nice.

The bluetooth through the car stereo sounded cool on paper, but I hated it when I used it, I had to yell when someone called me.

The 4 gauge cluster sounded neat, but now I just consider them pretty much useless, except for the oil pressure gauge.

remote start with 2LT if you get an automatic is nice to have.

Well thanks bro... I just sent an email to my salesman to change my order hopefully is not to late.

The guages for the 1LT/1SS are different from the standard ones. The include some extra stuff for these cars. This is also the reason you can't just get the 2LT/2SS guages.

I just ordered the basic 1LT with RS package and will add stuff like guages later. I like saving the 2500 bucks. The sound system sounds very well without the upgarde. Could't tell much difference. Probably will add later. I wasn't sure though what the steering wheel will look like if it doesn't have the leather on it. I assume its a synthetic or something. Anyone know? Like this thread, looks like we have practically the same car ordered!

If you do end up changing your order..there was once a problem where the RS package would be dropped from your order by the system. I don't know if it's still an issue...just make sure that the RS package is in fact still on your order.

I'm anxiously awaiting to be the proud owner of a camaro, only thing is, I have to wait till around May 2010 before I can hope to purchase one. I've already settled on what model I want, which is the 1LT with the RS package.

The one question I have is, is there a difference in the wheel size between the 1LT RS and the 2LT RS? After searching around, I get the impression that regardless of what model you get, each RS package comes with 20-inch midnight silver wheels. Can anyone confirm this for sure?

I don't really plan on ordering my car from the dealer when the time eventually comes, more or less just hoping that there are enough around at that time to find what I want without having to go through the wait process.

If anyone has pic's of a 1LT RS without any modifications, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

Thanks a ton!

Here are pictures of two cars I have in stock that are available right now...both 1LT/RS...

The reason we went with the 1LT over the 2LT is neither my wife or I are nuts about leather seats. We both prefer cloth. I know that we are the exception, but we like what we like. I would like to have had the 4-gauge cluster of the 2LT as they look really cool and remind me of the '69 I had back in the 1970s, but I can do without them.
I too went with the 1LT RS because I'm not a huge fan of leather either.

I have the 1LT/RS with the connections and connectivity package. I agree that it's a must. Bluetooth, USB, leather steering wheel and shifter rock! I actually kind of like not having the gauges in there. It's a perfect place to store cell phone and sunglasses.

Only thing I miss about the 2LT is the sound system and ABL. I should have added the upgraded stereo to my order.

1LT SIM with C & C package. Thought about RS package but realized everyone else could see the benefits (HID lights, Halos, 20" wheels) but I couldn't see it in the car. C & C made sense because of bluetooth, PDIM, etc, etc... Don't dig leather seats either.

Like the 4 gauge cluster and connivence package, just to name 2.

I bought the Yellow 2LT/RS and it has everyhting the 2SS has, but the V8 and breaks ... other than that .. they are the same. Trust me, for only $2,500 more, you will love it and its sooo worth it.
I don't know why his question about the wheel size difference between the 1LT/RS and 2LT/RS made you feel it was necessary to dump on the 1LT/RS. I don't know where all the upset customers are you are referring to but any feature on the 2LT/RS can be ordered on the 1LT/RS except the gauges, which, can be added by the dealers eventually. The complaint about them is that nobody knows when they will be available. Even the convenience and connectivity package you spoke of can be ordered. Just not on the 1SS. Everybody has a preference and some people don't need all the bells and whistles or even leather seats.

2010 1LT RS 6spd Manual

Ordered 5/12/09
Received 9/20/09

Inferno Orange Metallic with Black Stripes.

Love it! Did not want leather interior. Has connectivity package, sunroof, 20"x8" front, 20"x9" rear. And for a 6 cylinder? Keeping up with GT Mustangs and Turbo Tuners is awesome!

Getting around 19 mpg city no matter how hard I beat on it.

Anyone posting K&N or other CAI gains for the 3.6?

Lots of talk about this in the V6 sub-forum.

I changed my order today afer looking into this thread... originally just ordered 1LT, but added RS; the HIDs on the car make it go from mean to menacing and psychotic....they are so amazing....

for the 20", i was worrried because i am planning on using this as a daily driver, and i live in Canada and everyone is scaring me about the replacement price....but i'll just slap some cheapo rims/tires from Nov thru March...which will reduce the yearly wear on my tires by almost 50%...is that a bad idea?
