We'll see how it works out. The rear seat folds down if i need room. The problem with the kits is if you have a rear flat you're putting the spare on the front and then the front goes on the back. I may spring for the modern spare but for the time being this works for me.

I ended up getting the Modern spare kit. It's still is a few inches higher than the floor but it fit pretty well in the spare well. You make some very good points about having to swap the tires around if I get a flat but we definitely agree the current inflator kit isn't a good solution for us. One of the last times I had a flat it was a railroad spike I ran over - an inflator wouldn't have worked in that situation. The peace of mind was worth the money.

Edit: Room for sub, gun safe and chairs!

Agreed. I've debated for quite a while on what to do. Since I recently got new wheels, using one of the old wheels was a cheap solution. Just $30 for a scissor jack. I just had a flat on my truck but that has a spare. Much rather spend 30 minutes changing a tire than waiting for a tow and having the car damaged.

Just got mine out of the shop. AC condenser belt broke, which cause a bit of carnage to the front main seal - $600. Might want to change that belt along with serpentine when that time comes.

hauled a good sized gas grill home.had to take it out of the box and the top of the grill barely fit in the back seat with the seats down in back.now mustering the courage to assemble it...

Picked up my "New to Me" 2011 2ss Vert today

I made this purchase last month but saw it in person for the first time today. I was not disappointed. It was immaculate and there were no surprises.

This forum is a wealth of information but it can fuel my paranoia. I flew from Calgary to Kelowna this am with thoughts of finding blend door issues, convertible top problems, water on the floor etc.

So far no issues on my 7 hour drive home. Rain forced the top up after two hours but it was a fun, scenic trip.
