Yes, a GMPP axle back and Airaid intake. This is my first experience using a Matrix accelerometer so I'm not sure how accurate these things are.

First two runs showed 5.8 & 5.7 on a wet road with some tire spin. Same day different dry level road showed 4.98 at 43 degrees. As the temp goes up so do the times. At 70 degrees, best time was 5.44.

Oh, well, I guess no 2010 can be a muscle car then, since it isn't from the 60s-70s.

I guess that is true if you are stuck back in the '60s and '70s.

Which I am not. I grew up "back in the day." Saw the rise and fall of performance and the long recovery process when technology caught up.

I would consider many of today's performance cars equally as much a "Muscle Car" as any of those from way back then.

If you don't accept that, it is your choice. I just happen to not accept the premiss that today's cars aren't considered "Muscle Cars" because they aren't as tempermental or bare-bones as back then.

What Muscle Car from way back then could equal the overall performance we have now?

I have been able to get all the horsepower I need, decent fuel economy (up to 25.6 verified MPG on the highway for some trips) and the safety we have built in now.

Regardless of whether it is a Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Dodge or Chrysler.

Honestly, I love 'em all. New or old.

345HP is a lot of power compared to the 70' and 80's. Even now, that number is very very respectable. Like I said, tech advancement. It didn't stop in the 90's when cars started to come up in HP again. Of course, it is much better now.

I loved those cars! But had the tendency to detonate. Fast cars back in those days for sure but we are talking 80's when a Iroc Z with the 5.7 Corvette engine made 245hp (?).

'muscle car' also refers to a mid-size car. Today's Malibu is a mid-size car.

'Pony car' works even in 2010.

I know you were. I was kind of venting my frustration overr the same old song about the "Good Old Days!" Some of those good old days weren't all that great.

My depression came from trying to get those beasts running right. They were oh so tempermental..

Not to mention my 1969 Cubs!!! But that's a whole different story!

Geez, Hemis came with a note saying that there was no warranty on the car's engines. Wonder why????
