Yes and no. Do a few hard stops (not in traffic though) to seat them properly.
Can be brake dust on them as well causing the squeaking.

Who in the world told you to take it easy on them? We are talking about the brakes right?

You can take it easy on them, if they're not seated they will continue to sqeak.
Or do a few hard stops (again, not in any kind of traffic) and seat them properly
and right away.

I've never heard of taking it easy on the brakes (new or old).

I also got my car 1 week ago and was experiencing that same squeaking. I brought it back to the dealer today to see if they could do anything. They told me that he passenger side back brake rotor had become pitted and they shaved a small amount off of it and it seems to be allot better however you do also need to set them.

i've had mine since 8/25 and they've squeaked since about the first week, first only when going slow, now i can lightly put on the breaks at 50-60 mph and they'll squeak and scream. makes me so mad.

Switch to a set of HAWK pads....They help reduce squeaking and brake dust.
I have sold a few sets and every customer has had great things to say about them...

I personally had them on my 4th gen and was very happy.

I had the same problem. The dealer replaced the pads (under warranty and no problems since.
