Dang is that all we need for the conversion other than the brackets that we had custom made? So these are not Morimotos? If not then why? Thought the purpose was to install Morimotos instead.

I contacted CB&D and he said the bracket design is based on Morimoto D2S micro projectors He said the projectors he offers are the same design just more budget friendly. What a win …upgraded HID projectors WITHOUT having to bake the lights to split them apart

Yea, looks like all we'll need is to do is purchase bulbs. Unless his comes with them and I'm not seeing it.

Bulbs aren’t included, but D1S to D2S adapters will be required.

You all are correct. They are identical but made for the company for budget savings. I am so excited to bring this option for everyone. They are updated for those who want the brightest as well with nightbreaker bulbs!

When you unscrewed the eom projector from the plastic housing bracket did it come apart like shown at 4:05 in the attached video? If it did, because the custom bracket doesn’t require baking/splitting the headlight apart thus enabling the eom projector to be unscrewed and removed from the rear housing opening, do you think by the projector lense and shutter falling forward into the front of the headlight assembly it could cause any damage to headlight lense cover or led halo?

As shown in the pic in the first post it looks like the custom bracket gets attached BETWEEN the projector lense and the projector bowl, which would mean you first have to take the projector apart to attach the custom bracket to the projector so the custom bracket can then attach the projector to the plastic housing bracket.

In the 7th pic on the website it shows the custom bracket directly attached by ITSELF to the plastic housing bracket, which would imply that the projector would then simply be attached to it.

Can you clarify. Thanks

The plate fits in and mounts direct to the housing then the new projector mounts to the plate. My kit is ordered and shipped. I'll try to do a video

PERFECT

Also see my concern in post 163 about the possibility of the eom projector lense and shutter damaging the headlight lense cover as well as the halo led by falling forward when it’s unscrewed from the rear of the bracket housing. Given that the headlight will be removed from the facia when doing the retro fit I think a way to avoid the lense and shutter falling into the lense cover would be to hold the headlight facing upward while unscrewing the projector.

that wont be an issue. the projector is fully seated and 1 piece. They also are factory length from the mount to the opening with the spacer mount ring. The halo light wont be affected. However now is the time to get in there with the diodedynamics kit and upgrade to a RGBW kit. thats my plan. im going to wet sand my lenses clear again, then clear coat them and then have them expel wrapped to prolong their life.

Yes the projectors are one piece until you have to unscrew them from the back of the housing bracket in order to remove them for the retro fit. They then become three separate pieces (bowl, lense, shutter) watch at 4:05 in the below video and you’ll see what I mean. It’s the lense and shutter that’s on the front side of the housing bracket that will fall forward that my concern is about. lt probably won’t cause any damage but it’s something to take into account given the relatively small opening we’ll be working from to remove all three pieces from the rear of the housing compared to removing the projector when the headlight is baked & split open.
