Tune with Jeff's performance and tuning is scheduled for September 5th and the camaro is 100% ready now. Now it's just a waiting game.
Not going to see Howard for the tune?

I moved across the state now and live in a small town called Chiefland, FL. Basically north central Florida. I don't have the means to easily tow my car down there for the tune. Jeff's tuning and performance actually came highly recommended by a bunch of Florida guys and his shop is only 1 hour away from me. So I can hook up a trailer to my jeep and drive out there. He has actually tuned several torqstorm supercharged camaros and seems to be very knowledgeable in how the ls3 responds to the power input, so I am very confident in his abilities. He basically told me "this is how much power it's gonna make", if you wanna make ___ hp you're gonna need ___"

Another future project. I picked up these bad boys for $800 which I think is an absolute steal. Front and rear zl1 calipers, powerstop carbon fiber ceramic brake pads, and powerstop slotted rotors. Having a full set of 4 gives me the opportunity to send them off to get powder coated and change all of my brakes at once. Then I can sell my SS brakes to recoup some of the funds. It's a win-win. The ZL1 rotors are SOOOO expensive compared to SS rotors, so I think this was a killer deal.

That's a good deal on the brakes, it sucks how the stock ZL1 calipers peel like that. Even my low mileage ones were starting to. And yes pads and rotors are expensive. I have more in new pads and rotors then the calipers.

I wish I could find a deal like that because that is a good find there.

Its my understanding that your SS brake rotors and calipers are a direct replacement for the rears. But you will need new pads, rotors and brake lines for the front 6 piston calipers to work. And the 6 piston calipers are side specific.

That's the plan, do front rotors, calipers pads and lines and then also replace rear lines and pads while I'm at it and paint rear caliper while they're off, will try and track down some Z06 brakes if I can and can only find red ones so rears will end up painted red as well, not the cheapest brake option but I'm looking at putting it together with piece here and there. Also will do a brake fluid flush but still weighing whether I want to go DOT3 or DOT4.

Rears are the same between ZL1,SS and 1LE just color is different. I bought a complete set because I am keeping all my factory parts just encase I want to put it back to stock.

Cheapest 6 piston Brembo calipers I have found to date. Even with the core charge they are the cheapest. They have options for red and silver in rebuilt from Nugeon. $200 per side is pretty good considering the zl1 and corvette options are $400 each new.

Car made 530rwhp on 10lbs of boost. 12° of timing at 6400 rpms, and 48% duty cycle on the injectors. Jeffs tuning and performance did an amazing job. Definitely recommend. Now it's time to just drive and enjoy the car for awhile, and save up some money for the next mod. Which will be cam and supporting valvetrain upgrades.
