I had my factory one in there until 2 years ago, because of my Audio system I had to get a better one, but there was nothing wrong with it and it's still running in my buddy's mustang

My may ‘09 build still has the factory battery and is still great. I’m not looking forward to replacing it when the time comes.

Well guys, I called Advance's main Corporate center to ask about the batteries, and they couldn't tell me anything other than what I already researched. So I did some more digging and found this info. Seems as though there is only 3 companies that make batteries in the USA, the rest are from other countries. So I'm not sure what the heck is going on. Here are the links I found.

Yeah I know. I'm just one of those inquiring minds that want to know. But I'll tell you what, all this researching about them I really learned a lot about where all these batteries are made now. The only ones made in USA are the DEKA line of batteries... Made in Pennsylvania.. All good. Gonna toss the Diehard in and fahgetaboutit...

Computers and cell phones get replaced every two to three years and are junk by the time you upgrade. I have tools made in the 50s that still do a great job. I guess it depends on how long you intend to keep your car.

I'll bet if you put a made in USA sticker on that batt you'll feel alot better. My wife works for a large well know apparel and footwear company. They commonly remove all the made in china labels stickers etc and attach made in USA labels. Right now I think its very tough to find real made in USA products.

I understand it's difficult to find USA made stuff. BUT sometimes there's a choice between China and a country that is less hostile towards our economic system and lifestyle. Country's like S. Korea, Taiwan and yes, even Mexico are a bit more tolerable in my opinion. I know the majority of people don't give a darn and just want to save a few bucks but we can at least be aware of "country of origin" when we decide who gets our hard earned money.
