Also, I do accelerate 40-75 regularly, so there’s that.

The Tesla lore is strong, though. I have a friend with a long range Model Y who thought he could hang with my ZL1. Look at my 60-100 mph split (3.64 sec) vs his (around 5.5 seconds). It just “feels” quick because of the instant torque. It’s actually slower than my Supra (4.99 sec 60-100 split). My times are dragy verified, DA of around 2,000 ft.
Is his Y a Performance or Long Range?

If Long Range, his arrogance is even more amusing given the Long Range's 0-60 is 4.8 seconds. Even if they bought acceleration boost, it is still slower than a SS's capability.

The only Tesla's that can hang in the high speed range is the Plaid's. Every other Tesla dies off after 80-100 MPH.

2024 Y long range, dual motor. Not the performance. Plaids destroy a ZL1 in acceleration, a P100D model S has a 60-100 split of around 4.0-4.1 sec, so it’s quicker than an SS and a little slower than a ZL1.

Some might say the 60-100 Tim is more important than 0-60 in everyday, real world daily driving. It’s merging on freeways and passing left-lane Lenny’s where you need strong acceleration from speed.

So you want me to run my DVR all day on every channel? It’s Sunday, it’s week 2 of the NFL season, and I have the NFL package

Why don’t YOU go to your local sports bar, watch all the TVs all day, and make notes of aaaaaall the ads for many of the cars that are on your “list”.

Your proof is spreadsheets. Mine is real world.

Neither of us live in the same universe.

THAT has been proven.

Yep. Traction is a big thing, I'm a believer in AWD for the street now. There is no getting around having the most HP when traction eventually catches grip.
I'll post the only dyno chart I found with Acceleration boost on the Y. It makes a big difference in street performance but not like a model 3 performance by any means. You can see right where that sweet spot lines up with what you said the 40-75mph regular driving. The stock Y dyno IDK if it had wheel spin or what went on with that big dip. There is no way my Y with a 460hp sweet spot can outrun a 650hp 6th ZL1 or any 600hp car after traction, and that's ok with me, it's a daily not my hooligan car. It will give problems to Scat paks GTs and SS at a stoplight due to traction like the video above second half.
That is a good video above I almost stopped watching after the advertisement and missed the best part of the plot twist. Real world stoplight type results. We all didn't expect that to be as dramatic, or boring as some might complain.

I love Camissa’s videos. Him and Throttle House. But his production quality is light years beyond everyone else. Great explanations of how everything comes together in all these cars. That BMW M Comp is an absolute beast. I got to drive an M4 Gran Coupe CS last year. It was totally ridiculous. I was ready to sell the Camaro. Then I opened the glove box and looked at the sticker and reality kicked in hard.

Like I said, that arrogance is amusing as crap. If he had the performance, maybe MAYBE he had an ounce of a chance in backing it. But an LR? Never had a chance.

EV's are the new 4 banger/V6 Mustang/Challengers. This is probably their first car that actually has any kind of kick to their step and now they think they are all that.

Agree; Cammisa's Hagerty videos are really good; movie-like production in some portions. Throttle House is overall my favorite. Good production, great chemistry, good discussions about the cars in the right amount of detail (not over the top details on things that don't really matter like DeMuro and not annoying like Straight Pipes). I wish TH would run a regular ZL1 on their track. I think Thomas is a better driver now than when he set the ZLE time 4+ years ago. There are cars going faster than it now that really shouldn't be. Though they did say the ZLE was in its stiffest setting and it's a bumpy track.
