I was not faulted on the police report(obviously) it was just a wrong place wrong time deal. Hopefully it won’t take too long to get it fixed and I’m insisting on all GM parts even if it takes some time to get parts rounded up. Also there will be no paint blending of other panels so none of the factory paint on the door and hood and A-pillar are effected. I’m still pretty bummed but glad it wasn’t worse. I’m grateful to be able to walk away.
These cars are pretty damn tough, the damage to the Toyota solora that hit me was a lot worse.
Christ! Glad you are ok! Road ragers make me want to rage. WTH is wrong with people? Sorry to see your baby with the mashed fender but like you said, you walked away and that's the good thing at the end of the day.
Good grief!

Glad your Ok but I know how you feel. My damn Curb Alert failed and I scraped my splitter. Not only do they not make the Curb Alert but I had to blow another $550 on a splitter. I should do what I was doing all my life, use MY eyes. I still haven't got around to installing it. Hope she's fixed soon for ya Aqua Blue RS/SS. MAKE SURE THAT BLUE MATCHES TOO!!!!!!

That really sucks Aqua

The guy that tried to change lanes and clipped you should have been cited with an improper lane change ticket.

I feel your pain Joeko

I did that(hit curb with splitter) there was no noticeable damage except for a scrape.

A week later I was driving to work on the highway (Canadas version of Freeway)at 5am in the dark and ran something over that sounded all plastic crunchy

Yup it was my splitter...now I have 2 more waiting to go on I think I will do the smaller one first

Man that blows! Sorry to hear about the Camaro but glad you are okay. Over the years I have started driving on back roads and avoiding the highway if I can. I learned this from the wife. She refuses to go on the hwy because of all the asshole drivers out there. Florida is one of the worst places now because of people coming in from all over with their stupid driving habits. One thing I do know is that I have never cussed so much in my life as of till 5 years ago. We need a no vacancy sign at the border to keep them out!

Living here in Las Vegas valley, I feel her pain! The estimates here are that 1 in 4 drivers are not licensed and even more are not insured. Most of them are from Cali and south of the border and frankly, have no reason to be on the road.

I learned to keep my distance as best I can, from the idiots. I'm mostly afraid of rocks getting thrown onto my cars. One of the reasons I rarely take the black vert out.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the well wishes!I should be getting more details from my adjuster tomorrow. I still owe a little on it, but I’m hoping maybe the bank will let me do the repairs my self. I don’t really like the thought at all of someone else messing with this car. We’ll see what happens there. I definitely am having conversations about depreciated value compensation and/or working to keep this “ding” off of car fax.
Along with Florida I think we should post a no vacancy sign at the southern us border as well but I digress. There are a lot of illegals in NM. They aren’t hard to spot at all, and they are some pretty bad drivers for sure, on top of all the legal bad drivers already here.

We have the same problem with uninsured illegal drivers here in Florida as well and so far doesn't seem like anyone is doing anything about it
