I bought my ZL1 from a knowledgeable Camaro guy but it was quite low on SC coolant and didn't have dexcool in it FWIW.
Low is definitely not good, I use the prestone dexcool when I change a my radiator and supercharger coolant as well about every 3 years, the dexcool supposedly help minimize corrosion in aluminum engines and is not to be mixed with the green antifreeze which is said could cause sludge buildup over time if mixed also the dexcool is not glycol based. This is just what I have read do not know to be factual. I do know the green color coolants will show the rust or corrosion buildup better visually than the orange color dexcool which is why I change it every 3 years. Adding a reservoir for your supercharger is a big help in my opinion in helping the air problem which is what this post is about.

When I bought my car it was summer in Dallas, I test drove it and thought....man this thing is a TURD!

I thought it was the Dallas heat.

A week later I took it to the dealer for the blower replacement, they told me a HX hose was leaking and replaced it.

Needless to say, it was a different car when I got it back. It obviously was running around with no HX water in it.

I put a BK Fab reservoir under the hood and it burps itself and adds about 3 pints more fluid.

This bottle is still much cheaper than a reservoir which warms up your coolant. Sure I can make my own but by the time I get the fitting and waste time screwing around, it’s a wash. I will definitely buy one.

Agreed, We make them as cheap as we can but the cap is the expensive part, it is OE GM part.

Thank you for your business.

Ted.
