I use Haggerty currently and I am happy with them, The Owner of Grundy lives near me and I was at his home a little while back and he was a nice guy, I am going to look into them when my policy is up and may or may not change.

When I only had my Corolla insured through Progressive it was $309 per month. Florida is a nightmare for insurance these days. These are all at full coverage (lowest levels) with $1000 deductibles at 50 years old, a clean driving record, and good credit score. I am currently shopping for new insurance, if you could imagine.

Would you believe me that 3 years ago I was paying $530 for 1 year for the same coverage? Yeah that's how bad it went up down here in Florida. We are paying for the other irresponsible drivers bringing in their bad habits from their third world countries or whatever state they came from. They should be paying the higher premiums and not punishing the good drivers with excellent credit etc... Gets my blood boiling.

How did you manage to swing that? What are the limitations of using the vehicle etc??? What coverages do you have?

There are no limitations other than you need to prove that you have a daily driver. That's why I went with Grundy over Haggerty.

It would cover your regular liability insurance and then up to the value you specify for your car.

Whole different animal there. Haggerty does one that covers you for about 3 days but be prepared for sticker shock

I went through Sick Insurance (https://www.sickthemagazine.com/sick-insurance) which uses American Modern. For $50K replacement value and 3K mile cap it was like $790 a year for me.

That's pretty good as I'm paying about $600/yr for $20K with Hagerty. Might have to check that out.

I will have to give Grundy a call. I have a DD that I use for work daily etc... I drive the Camaro maybe 1-2 times a week or once every other week. 3k miles a year give or take. However Grundy sounds too good to be true IMHO!

Grundy is pretty much pleasure driving only and while i do drive mine to work once and while i can always use the i was taking it to get repaired excuse. My friend has had numerous claims paid by grundy with zero issues...

Make darn sure whichever insurance company you use, get "agreed value" not "stated value". Agreed value is what you and the insurance company agrees to payout max on a loss. With stated value, they will pay up to "stated value" or Actual Cash Value (ACV), whichever is less. But in the meantime, if stated value is twice ACV, you'll pay a higher premium for basically nothing. Might as well just burn the extra money. If ACV is significantly less than stated value, you'll have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt it's value is at stated value. PITA.
