I showed them the GM stamp and part # that is under the switch blade

I love remote start

Were you having any issues? or was it preventative maintenance?

I did one originally.

I told them the other one was lost.

It might as well be as 2 buttons on it are broken now

Thank you! Unfortunately that means I can't travel back to Michigan this summer... And I'll need to get a new summer car. My 2 seat roadster back home will no longer suffice!

Question... I had a Borla Atak on my SS, it never popped or anything when i would rev it. they were the single outlet. I put a different Borla Atak on the ZL1, with the 2 outlets and it has always popped when i rev it. I thought that the headers and tune would clear it up, it did some but it is still there. the tuner said that it is the mufflers. is that the difference between the single out pipe vs the double on the ZL1? or is that the difference in the motor? Any ideas why that would be?
Well your tuner is partly correct, with the dual outlets you will hear more sound coming out. The popping and crackling is from what is called DFCO, (deceleration fuel cutoff). When you are driving, or revving the engine, when you let off the throttle the ECU cuts off the injectors so they don't waste any fuel into the combustion chamber, so you will hear the sound because it is just air going through, it is a safety feature built into the fuel system so when fuel is not needed, it is stopped, plus it prevents fuel from washing oil off the cylinder walls. Mine is really loud! It can be tuned out, but I wouldn't do that.

Thanks for the insight. Yeah, he was saying that it would likely be about the same with any of the aftermarket "free flow" type exhausts/mufflers on the car. It wasnt like a Borla Atak type of problem. It is definetly better than it was, prior to headers and tune it would sound very sharp like a few firecrakers blowing of, now it is a more mellow like bop bop bop type sound. if that makes any sense. i am super happy with the more rowdy rumble when at idle, and of course when i slam the skinny pedal

Drained as much gas out of the Tank using the Filler Pipe removal process, and added 11 gallons of Summer Blend Premium with a shot of Pri-16 Fuel Additive. Then took it out for a rip around town. This thing is just plain nasty. I can't imagine what SlowLS1's car is like with another 250 HP. Ready for the local car show on Mondays.
