I found a set up I don’t remember where at but it comes through the trunk floor with a grommet and goes to the battery, there is a cap on the part that sticks out so I don’t even have to open the trunk.

olblue I saw that set up as well, I figured since I park mine in the Garage I don't mind popping the trunk If I was outside or in a public place i would do it that way.

I have this one, and as you can see in the upper left corner there is an attachment/cable that attaches to your positive and negative terminals of your battery, and stays there. It has an"locking" pigtail end that locks into the plug coming from the charger/maintainer.

Yes sir! When I park her for over a week or more, I have to disconnect my Technostalgia tail lights because I have one of the earlier sets where the lights draw power directly from the battery, so they will drain my battery quite a bit. They mage the first 2 sets like that, the 3rd model they came out with changed the wiring harness to get power through the cars wiring like all the other lights, but I wasn't paying 415 bucks for a new set, and you couldn't just buy the harness because they changed the tail lights wiring also, so that wouldn't work. So anyway, I have to take the battery cover out to do that, and I leave it out until we are going out again. If she sits for a month before we can get out, I just put the charger on it, just have to plug it in to the harness connected to the battery already, no clamps.. The way I see it, this way is better to charge the battery, directly at the battery. If you do it from the front under the hood, you have all that long positive cable going all the way back to the trunk that will create some resistance which will make for a slower charge to the battery.
