Trunk weatherstrip part number needed

Found an ebay ad that had a picture of the new GM back glass they were selling. It appears that seal is already pre-installed.

Thanks all for the responses. I stopped by my Chevy dealership today after work and there is a separate part number for only the strip. They showed me a diagram on their parts computer and it is indeed separate. The part number is 22807798. It was a $20 part imagine that! They had one that was shown to be available in California and would take a week to ship.. then they later found that the part number was discontinued. Check out this link on GMPartsGiant.com Looks like I am on the hunt in trying to see if I can locate one online to order.

Yes I also found another online currently available with the back glass. It is called the lower reveal molding.

Here is another link that says this same part number is new and arriving soon...????


There may be hope yet! If ordered today it is estimated to arrive by 9/02/2025

That's a bummer. Glad you found out there was actually a part number for it. Seems the p/n is discontinued. I tried using my "sources" and couldn't find one available or even find one with the original part number.

Yes it is a bummer! Worst case scenario is I would go to the local junk yard and pull one off a newer 5th Gen Camaro that is not as dried up and in better condition.

Surprised no one on the forum lives in Canada and couldn’t buy the part then ship it to the USA after being paid by a member

I've done that before. And it's not pretty. I think I got the last two 5th gen gas tank filler connector hoses on the planet that way. Postal Money orders between Canada and U.S. aren't valid.

I've done it the other way as well. Someone wouldn't ship to Canada, I bought the parts for a good friend and shipped it to Canada for him. You better want that part so bad you're willing to give up your first-born for it. It can get expensive real quick.

Why’d you buy 2? Are they prone to breakage easy?

I buy and sell things on Ebay to and From Canada and it usually is pretty smooth, it can at times take time to get but usually it is pretty easy.

That would be great and I'd be willing to pay them. I actually had a close friend from Canada for over 20 years from my college years in NY. He is car guy as well. Unfortunately politics interfered in our friendship in which I tried to avoid on several occasions but he wouldn't have it. Haven't spoken to him in 6 months.

No, not prone to breakage, but they have formed in hose clamp and just the right bends molded in. I have two 5th gens. They had 2 in stock at the Canadian dealership, while NOBODY in the U.S. had them that even the dealers couldn't dig up. There was one on ebay for 3 times the price of GM. Thus...

Don't actually NEED them right now, but they weren't that expensive overall, so I got them. I think the only way to get them in the U.S. is to buy the entire fill line to the fender to the tank. Which isn't cheap.

Alright guys... Need some input... I tried contacting Camaro Depot in Canada and apparently they DO NOT ship to other countries. Only inside Canada. This is the message I received....


Currently, shipping is available to Canada. We do not ship to any other country. If you live outside of Canada, we suggest you find a freight forwarder that you can use to have your items shipped to you in your country.

Now when a buddy of mine tried ordering truck stainless steel dual tail pipes from a different vendor in Canada.. there was no issue. What is going on???


Does anyone have any experience on what I should do?
