Hey there, you're welcome sir! Love to share what I know, and learned over the years, and if that helps anyone out, well then I've done my best. As for the weather down here, today is not so bad, 55 for the high, 75 and rain for Thursday, then cold again. This past Sunday we had a COLD front come through, worst I've seen in my 58 years here! Sunday morning when I got up at 6 am it was 20 out with the wind chill of 16 and 20-30 mph winds!! Dang man. Monday morning at 6 am it was 25, with the wind chill of 22!! Again dang man!! This boy was freezing!! The weather people said we broke low temp records set back in 1936!! I wasn't even born then!! lol. Our average temp for this time of year is 73. Maybe next week. lol. . Oh, no lizards here, that's way down south in the Miami area. They showed pics of people collecting them up to save them, lots and lots of them.

Cape Coral on the opposite coast is bad with the iguanas too.

I got this message on the dash Sunday night. Only seen it a handful of times. Traction was so bad couldnt even get on it in 3rd gear at 60mph. Had a nice cruise with the heated seats on though. Low was 31°

Summer tires I presume? Or is it just that bad when boosted, even on all-seasons, at those cold temps?

Dang, I guess I spend too much time on the forum, but it is fun to connect and share with a bunch of fine Camaro loving people! It seems like I just joined yesterday, and feel like one of the OG people on here, except I started 2 years after they all did in 2009. It's just like being retired, when I did that 6 years ago I thought time would slow down a bit since I wasn't working in the rat race anymore, but no, time seems to just fly by now!! Anyway, love you guys and gals! Hope to be around and helping you all out the best I can, and helping you spend your money on modding these cool Camaros!! God bless you all! And thanks.
Agreed. I am a late joiner and casual observer but I had decided to buy a Gen 5 when they came out. I actually traded in my wife's Lexus convertible for the 2LT and then traded that up for the SS a couple of years ago. I intend to keep this as long as I can drive the manual. I really appreciate everyone on this forum you all have been both entertaining and informative.

I've seen that message on my dash everyday for the past few months... the day I don't see it I'll start celebrating. This winter has been so cold that I turned on the heater a handful of times!

That being said mine is just a daily driver V6, but since I ditched the P-Zeros I've had no issues in subzero (well, celsius subzero anyway) temps and traction. On the stock tires even with my lower HP it would struggle for traction.

Yikes! Yeah I have only seen my "ice warning" come on once back in my early days of driving my Camaro when I had to leave for work at 6 am in the winter, back when she was my daily. Nice temps on your IAT's!! lol.

Yep, that would be tricky in normal situations with that much power! Gotta love it though..

lol, yeah I couldn't imagine! As she sits right now and even with the fat 335's on the rear, at 45 mph when I romp on it and the converter flashes and she downshifts into second gear, I can just blister the rears all the way through second gear and into third until they finally grip and get up to speed! But it is fun to do, just have to be careful of my 7200 rpm redline, as it gets there pretty quickly.
