I also would say just go ahead and replace them, and give yourself a piece of mind, and stop arguing with yourself. lol. I replace mine every 50k, just because I'm cammed and all. And makes me feel better about it.

I replaced my factory ones at around 49k miles or so. I had chipped them a tiny bit from messing with headers, but thankfully only messed them up a bit on the metal tips. They were kinda gross from the factory dielectric grease, or whatever they used to lubricate the spark plug wires.
They were AC Delco 41-162, which I heard about 41-110 being a slightly different part, based on the gap size. I ended up going with some NGL TR5 spark plugs though, but I definitely saw LOTS of fake, replica AC Delco spark plugs being sold on eBay and Amazon. Some of them, you can tell right off the bat that they’re fake replicas of the genuine OEM spark plugs. I’m sure they work, but probably not as great as the actual OEM ones. I have an early 2009 year production, 2010 2SS model, so I assumed some of the rubber parts had started going bad from sitting around for years at a time. One of my spark plug wires started tearing at the bottom, right where it goes towards the spark plug and metal heat shield. Another one ended up having the metal “clip” piece inside of the plug wire, actually break apart, which prevented the plug wire from being properly installed on the plug. I ended up getting another set of some AC Delco 9748 spark plug wires. They have some different colors, like dark blue and dark red. They’re all the same 7 mm thick spark plug wires that came on the vehicle from the assembly line, so I didn’t think I'd have any issues at all. I re-used the metal heat shields from my stock plug wires and put them on the new ones. Some people complain about the spring (supposed to be low tension) on the heat shields, backing the plug wires out, but I’ve never had that occur personally. |

Replaced the ones in my RS today at 95,000 milers.it was not a job I was willing to pay a mechanic 500 bucks to do...i made $250 an hour.

My 11 has under 23k and I just changed the plugs and wires on my SS . . . it sucked more than doing the plugs and wires on my old 2000 SS with the LS1. The reason for it was because of the supercharger I have. I had to drain the damn coolant and disconnect the heater hoses to the water pump to move them out of the way so I could access the plugs and wires.
