Issues with bluetooth
Is anyone else experiencing any problems with the bluetooth function? We cannot get it to work for the life of us, even after following all instructions from the manual. It will pair with the cell phone but then it doesn't show any options for it in the menu and if we make a call it still rings from the phone and not the car speakers :S help!

I noticed you're in Qatar... I believe bluetooth has been disabled (as part of the OnStar module) on international orders.
A previous discussion here. |

Could be the phone. I know in my BMW there was a lot of phones that wouldn't work with my bluetooth. It was later fixed with a software flash.
I noticed your location. I still remember my 4 day vacation to Qatar. stayed at the ritz Carlton. Such a beautiful place. |

I posted this also in an other thread:
What I learned from reading this thread (and other threads dealing with this problem) is: GM disables the OnStar function in export cars - bluetooth function is disabled too. I live in Europe and I have an US-Camaro with the OnStar function. OnStar is not available in Europe (it was available for Opel until 2004), so the OnStar function doesn't work here. But the bluetooth-phone-function works great. So why does GM disable the OnStar function? In my opinion it doesn't matter if you have a non-working OnStar function, but it does matter to have the bluetooth function. My problem is that my Camaro has an issue with the bluetooth-music-function. I know that this is a well-known issue here on Camaro5 and the problem is solved by a software-update which can be done at your dealer. But here in Europe there is no software update available. There are no Camaro dealers in Europe... |
