There's a Dyno report on here of many different intakes and CAI did very well and the scoop does make a difference, I got no lights but I am also tuned. My opinion is there both worth it. I don't daily my car so washer fluid isn't something I use. I may try phasteks kit or rotofabs kit that goes by the master cylinder. The one most here use is the one I like the best but just couldn't get it to work. My car is like new no accidents so I doubt the fitment issue was due to my car.

CAI is a great mod and in most cases won't throw a code by itself. I have them on both of my SS's, the Whipple Car has the remote duct, and the TA Conversion pulls ALL of it's air from the back of the Shaker Scoop (CAI Box is sealed off and air tight).
And - seriously - the LEDs are good for another 5 HP

![]() I had to take front fascia off recently for headlight replacement... sat there and pondered the scoop... then pulled up the old Janetty Racing excel spreadsheets again. Pondered some more... ORDERED ONE! ![]() Haven't got it back on the road yet, but psyched to see what happens! Appreciate the recommendation!

Yes I feel that It did something and I don't think its in my head, I am hoping that it will work with the Roto Fab Big Gulp when I do the LSA Swap.

The Air Scoop Option is nice, because w/o it you are still pulling in some hot Engine Bay air. So it pays to even go a little further and seal up the CAI where it interfaces with the Frame Rail/Fender, and Front end. I also did the Washer Bottle Relocate, which I really did not need as it is not a DD car. And located the Fill Pipe/Cap in a different location as shown in the Pic. The scoop does require removing the Front Fascia and cutting a opening, which is not really all that difficult.

I am noticing this potential issue on mine, due to a prior owner front end accident. I am unsure how best to seal the gap... any creative ideas?

I want to respect the post mentioning potential risk of running too lean (without a tune). Would this be a concern I should give more consideration to? Just don't want to burn up spark plugs or cause other "run too hot" issues.

Generally, as Ted Jannetty states, anything approx. more than a 10% change in airflow will most likely throw a code first, because the computer cant correct anything that significant. So certain Air Intake systems, O/S TB's, and larger intake tubes can contribute.
