ok, this is spooky.

My car started to form rust bubbles on both of the rear quarter panels. The EXACT same location as everyone else.

Fortunately, I took it to a professional body shop that does a great job. Now, 100% good as new...well, because it is new metal (no bondo).

This is why I'll never buy another Michigan vehicle ever again. The weather, combined with the insane amount of salt they put on the roads, makes everything rust within a couple of years. My SS came from South Carolina, my Firebird from North Carolina, and even my daily driver VW Golf came from Virginia. And after just ONE Michigan winter, my Golf is starting to get rust. My Firebird has been in Michigan for 16 years and has never been on the road once in the snow, and is 100% rust free. The only good thing about Michigan rusting everything are the thousands of LS donor vehicles with relatively low miles, lol.

Thread resurrection as I am about to go through the same process as soon as I can find a competent Body Shop. Hard to see in the picture. I should have gotten a picture from the side where you can see the unevenness in the paint. On a separate note... This site sure is getting slow. Server wise.

No price yet but the shop owner is a friend so I am sure it will be reasonable.

Let us know how it goes. I'm waiting for some linkage work to be finished before I go in.
