When you can afford a 1.6 million dollar car. You can afford to pay the press NOT to release your name.

TOO FUNNY!

I was driving a handful of exotic cars for fun last week and one of the requirements we were told was "NO CELL PHONE USE IN THE CARS". A good rule to have when you are driving someone elses six figure (or seven figure) automobile at a high rate of speed.

You should have to pass an stupid test before being allowed to buy such a piece of machinery. He's lucky he didn't slam on the accelerator by accident. Instant-150mph....

Wait a minute..

P.S. - As I thought. His spoiler is in the extended position. The Veyron's hydraulic spoiler does not extend until 140 mph.

Something is fishy about this story. I think he's not being completely truthful about what happened (going fast, had to brake quickly, lost control, and went off the road - no injuries because he had already slowed down quite considerably and because water absorbs a lot of impact).

Oh I think I can explain that... On the underside of the spoiler there is a warning label that states "In the event of a water landing, this spoiler can be used as a flotation device"

ok just kidding.

Its a marvel of engineering. A shame you don't need to be a marvel yourself to own one. I agree with the CCX. Even the Gumpert Apollo was faster than it was if I recall, as per the Top Gear test track. Its just a bit too heavy around corners, I think. I thought you could set the spoiler to come up at all speeds in one setting. Still, driving while on his cell phone-him plus hundreds of others I see deserve a similar fate just to stir them up.

I wonder if his insurance will renew his policy when the time comes...

What I want to know is who the **** drives a Bugatti Veyron while talking on a cell phone? Do that shit in a daily driver, but not a multi-million dollar supercar.

Birdwatching, while talking to Mother and driving... A recipe for soggy seats. Soggy, $9,000 seats.

Even if you have enough money to fix it, it would still suck. Rich people hate to loose money also.

The spoiler in the up position can be switched on from the inside like LP640s.

I had a chance to be in one and they are truly amazing.

Man distracted by bird drives Bugatti into marsh

OMG.

I call BS on his story because of the rear wing is extended out the entire way, thus leading me to believe that he was speeding.. and it wasn't just a bird.
