Yea, my dealer advised me not to order the ground effects. The best choice I ever made, I did not want to pay that much for more plastic, the car is low enough. Sorry you guys are going through that.

The problem is not the GFX....its the installers not doing it correctly.
I discussed these issues w/the dealerships body shop manager and told him SEVERAL times that after the GFX was fitted to the fascia that the entire front fascia would have to be removed in order to install the rivets from the inside.Anyone, especially a body shop person, should have enough common sense to know that over 4' of the front GFX lip cannot be held in place w/tape.At high speeds the wind puts a butt load of pressure on this area. Now i feel it necessary to "babysit" the next install. I will not let them install the front fascia until i see that it is rivited along the inside front lip.....hate to be this way but look what happened the first time i took their word that the GFX were done properly. My biggest concern at this time is how long it will take to order and receive a new front spoiler/lip????

What I don't understand is removing the front fascia and installing the rivets is probably the easiest part of the job. I can have the front fascia off a veh. within minutes so I don't see why dealers are not doing this MOST IMPORTANT step .

Thats exactly why im sooooo pissed!! A simple task which would add maybe an hour or two at the most (remove/use templates/drill/rivet/re-install).This simple task which they knew about was "skipped" and now has caused them MUCH more work, time and $$$ .....I believe in doing something correctly the first time!!

Mine came off on the test drive the day I picked it up. It came off at about 130 as I was just getting off the gas. Salesperson was with me, albeit a few shades paler than he usually was and heard it happen. This was at 9pm. The dealership owner came in, went out on the freeway, found the spoiler and left it for the tech on Monday. I was pissed, but realized it was dealer installed and I could not judge the quality of the car based on this, so I took the car anyway for the weekend and brought it back on Monday. I was told it was not installed correctly and not to worry as they installed it right this time. It was replaced N/C and has seen 155 many times with no issue.

besides the rivets that are the most important step , i also used adhesive promoter by 3m that was applied to the area that the 2-sided tape was applied ,then i taped the front lip to the cover overnight to keep the weight from pulling on the lip while it was setting up. this step is not in the directions but it makes the 2-sided tape adhear better!!! and i know the dealer would not do anything like this to make it last longer, remember that dealer mechanics get paid book time the faster they get the job done the more they make. not knocking them al all but i know i would do a better job because i own the car and spent the extra time!!! i would not let the dealer install i did it myself and made sure it is done right.. just a fyi once the gfx are painted its voids the warranty on the gfx !! so make sure the install is done right the first time. if you search the forums someone already posted the directions from gm that come with the kit, kind of confusing but as you are doing fhem its all makes sense!! much more straight forward than most of the years of christmas presents that i had to but together that said some assembly required lol i know its not the same but not that hard to do yourself and make sure its done right..

Guess i should just be happy that the dealer is going to stand behind it and fix at N/C.......could have been avoided though IMO. I feel like they did'nt listen to a word i said.
