I am hitting 0-60 in about 4.8 right now. Hard to get traction with my rear tires at the moment.

John,
Was the Temp.,Humidity, & the Bar. Pres. all the Same ?

I ran & Recorded 37: 0-60mph runs so far. All the same place & elevation.
I find Temp. & Bar. Pres. make a VAST difference in times. Humidity also makes a difference. I know you know that, But............
Just the diff. in Bar.Pres. of 30.09" to 30.31" ALONE, can make a .15 sec. difference in runs.

I'm in DENIAL that weather had anything to do with this!!!

I always do this test on the same stretch of road... Weather condition were very similar but not 100% sure... I actually think yesterday was WARMER than my previous best. Perhaps tonight I can dig through my stuff and get a better feel for the weather conditions...

Ok... dig through the weather records.. and my runs very close to the weather station...

My 5.58 run had a DA of about -890... Yesterday did have a slightly higher bar.pres. but it was offset by the warmer temps yesterday... Yesterdays DA was about -290.

Details:

5.58 - temp 40 bar 30.35 hum 45%
5.44 - temp 50 bar 30.45 hum 56%

Now.. if only I could get to the track when the DA was like that!!! LOL

I have a Performance Box that records 0-60, 0-100, 0-100-0, 1/4 mile and etc. I basically use it as a lap timer on a track prepped car. It also syncs with a video recorder, gives g-forces, braking and acceleration points, so it is kind of cool to see yourself moving with the video. You can also bring up Google Earth and look at the path you took to accomplish those times. A bit pricey at $499, but lots of fun.

i'm not sure how accurate the matrix is. I did a 0-60 MPH run with the matrix and with iPhone dynolicous at the same time and they were off by quite a bit. The matrix had the 0-60 at 4.24 seconds and iPhone/dynolicous was at 4.82 more than half a second difference. I only did one run but will do some more and see if they are always off that much.

well I did another 0-60 MPH run with both matrix and iPhone at the same time and got 3.89 seconds with iPhone/dynolicious and 3.94 with matix so that is pretty close, only .05 seconds difference. Not sure why it was so far off before. This is for a L99 not stock.

wow 4.1 is great stock. I'd like to see how fast I can get my 0-60 time if I can get it to hook up right, just need to practice.

if you have an iPhone you can get dynolicious or several other apps that use the internal accelerometer in the phone and have been reviewed to be very accurate. Or you can buy something like this KAT Matrix, it's only $28

http://www.amazon.com/T-Matrix-3-Axi.../dp/B000KZRE5E

I have both, they agreed one time and didn't another. I need more runs to get a better idea but they are probably both pretty accurate. Also with the iPhone it's critical to get a mount for it, if not you will not get accurate results. The Matrix comes with a mount and I just stick it on the radio when I want to make a run, can't beat it for $28
