Guess ill start looking at another dealership cause this one was clueless
Historically here in this "third world country" we call Canada, we are always 6-9 months behind. , so this dealer is probably right. Take a look at the G8, it has only become available here in Montreal in the last few weeks.... Talk about being slow to the market...

You better start looking for a dealer down south, besides being available, you'll save approximately 25% on the cost.... The only issue with this is finding one that is willing to sell to a Canadian, apparently GM corporate has threatened any dealer that sells to us.

Which brings me to an interesting point. Supposedly poor sales of the 4th gens. halted production for a while. Yet I saw THREE camaros within two parking rows of each other the other day at the community college. I also saw a Firebird that day right as I left school.

I reckon a lot of these people didn't buy new - they waited until the car was a few years old and the price was more reasonable. Back in '02 when I was looking for Camaros/Firebirds, the sticker price and payments scared me off, even though in retrospect I could have probably handled it.

Well the model got stale and people where into SUV's and trucks. That's why it didn't get a new design back then. Now that big cars fade people rethink what kind of car they can afford to drive. Camaro gives you a nice old school coupe with more room and driving feel than an econobox.

(That's almost good enough for a brochure lol).

In 2002, they were priced too high, in comparison to the Mustang.... hopefully GM will correct that this time...

I don't....think this thread was intended to say "Hey, the Camaro's been delayed". But rather to say "Hey, look what stupid thing this dealer said."

Perhaps the dealers are saying their wait lists extend out to 2010.
